    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss John’s new book – THE MISSING SECRET … Of the legendary book think and grow Rich. That is coming out in October of this year. John tells a story about finding a big time editor who edited the wildly successful entrepreneur roller coaster book by Darren Hardy. John met her 10 years ago. But what he didn’t know until recently was that the editor, Amy Anderson, has been using the think it be it methodology for 10 years. Funny how life works. John also talks about the podcast. And how the book and podcast are so closely tied together. With the think it be it methodology, you have to give people the ability to do the 12 minute a day methodology. That’s the purpose of the book. Then once they learn it, you need to support them. And that’s done with the weekly podcast. Now everything is coming together. And in this podcast John reveals that the company that hosts our podcast tells us that we have 36 people listen to our podcast each week. John and Kelly talk about how cool it is to have this as our SECRET CLUB. Because we never promoted the podcast. Then John and Kelly get into the topic for the day. The search for a success formula. Kelly talks about her journey. Then John talks about his journey. Throughout his 30s and 40s he was always looking for that one thing that if you did it consistently would assure success. By 50 he decided such a success formula didn’t exist. Then he discovers that it did exist in the most likely place. The top book the world on success. But it wasn’t clearly stated in the book. It was buried deep inside the book. John had to figure out the secret. Then during the podcast John compares other so-called success formulas. Like the hugely successful morning miracle that encompasses six things and takes one hour to do. Also the comparison to meditation. And finally John talks about the comparison to Kelly. Who is great at meeting people where they are. But John says that’s not him. He finds it very hard to do. It’s like Kelly is the good cop and John is the bad cop. John influences people by being blunt and shaking them up.

    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss spirituality – and how that part of your life is impacted by the think it be it 12 minute a day technique. Spirituality starts by having a compelling mission statement the drives you forward. Typically this mission statement will be about 50 words long. It will also be emotional. John reads what his empowering purpose mission statement is. He says the top book the world on success is think and grow Rich. God chose me to reveal it’s full secret to the world. What I’ve created is life-changing. And only I can give this to the world. I teach people the practical way to create the exceptional life rather than the average life. If I had learned at 20 what I learned at 50, what a difference that would’ve made. I’m giving people a true advantage in life. Changing the world one person at a time and one class at a time. Getting gratification internally. From seeing the specific lives I’m dramatically impacting. Plus I’m self-actualizing to level beyond what I’ve ever experienced before. Kelly then mentions how one’s purpose needs to be other people driven. Helping other people. John and Kelly talk about meeting the well-known sports psychologist Michael Gervais. He works with the Seattle Seahawks. A few years ago John and Kelly met with him in Seattle. And he explained this concept of having each player have a powerful mission statement . As John and Kelly discuss this topic further, John talks about what he reads to himself each day regarding dealing with the frustrations with people. That everyone is a combination of their genetics coupled with what has come into their consciousness to this point in their life. Of course they don’t see things the same way John does. John also talks about something that gives him great comfort from a spiritual standpoint. How he is providing personal growth to his three grandchildren once they reach adulthood.   • Creating the Person You Want to Be Takes 12 Minutes a Day

    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss how to create the person you want to be using our 12 minute a day methodology. John starts the podcast by succinctly explaining what our methodology is. You create immense clarity about your life. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you’re going to achieve your clearly defined goals. Then you feed that clarity to yourself every day. After 21 days, the science kicks in and it starts influencing your daily actions, 95% of which are unconscious. Then those upgraded daily actions create the life you want. As this relates to creating the person you want to be, the template and algorithm for think it be it gives a person a deep understanding of having clarity regarding the person you want to be. To demonstrate this, John covers what he reads each morning about himself. He describes his top three values. He affirms that he can accomplish anything he sets his mind to. He defines the personal qualities he wants an himself. In discussing this, both John and Kelly talk about how most people don’t know off the top of their head what their top three values are. But when you feed that to yourself each day, you live them more. John tells a story about how this has played out in his life. Towards the end the podcast John talks about how 98% of people are misguided. Just winging life. Don’t really have a way of doing life. Just re-creating their existing life. Don’t have anything pulling them forward to their desired life. John points out that is not how the 2% do life. The 2% feed the succinct articulation of their life to themselves each day. That then causes the right actions happen automatically without thinking. And they have a powerful force pulling their life forward to their desired life.

  • Your Health – How Our 12 Minute A Day Methodology Affects

    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss the impact of the think it be it methodology regarding one’s health. Kelly leads off the discussion regarding how is has impacted her health. Then John gets into the difference between one’s intentions and actually taking the actions to make one’s intentions come into reality. John explains how the human mind works. The conscious mind sets your intention and is influenced by logic. The subconscious mind controls your everyday actions, and it’s influenced only by repetition. Here’s the example. Say you want to lose weight. The conscious mind sets the intention to lose weight based on the logic of the health benefits. But the reason people don’t lose weight is not from lack of intention. They have all the intention in the world. They don’t lose weight because they are not influencing the part of their brain that controls their daily actions – the subconscious mind. That’s what controls what they eat and exercising on a daily basis. Because 95% of a person’s daily actions are unconscious. See the connection to the subconscious mind. So the methodology makes the right actions happen automatically without thinking because it’s influencing the subconscious mind. John also talks about doing a health program last year called fountainlife. It’s owned by Tony Robbins. The program’s goal is early detection of cancer, heart disease, or anything else that could be life-threatening. The take away John got from this is that being healthy is all about detecting problems early. Accordingly, you need to get your blood analyzed every six months. You also need to get your gut analyzed. This is done via a stool sample. Also determine if you’re deficient in any micronutrients which can be improved through supplements. The bottom line of our discussion today is that the methodology of think it be it as it relates to health is that it causes the right actions to happen automatically without thinking.

  • Having A Great Romantic Relationship – The Impact Of Think It Be It

    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss the impact of the think it be it methodology regarding one’s romantic relationship. To start this off, Kelly discusses how the methodology has affected her marriage. John then explains the think it be it methodology in a nutshell. You create immense clarity. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you can achieve your clearly defined goals. Then you feed that to yourself each day. After 21 days, the subconscious mind (which controls your daily actions) accept the programming and makes the right actions show up automatically without thinking. In this podcast John explains in detail some of the things that he affirms in his visualization regarding his marriage. He affirms to be flexible, patient and thoughtful. And what that means. He also affirms to make his wife Ginger feel appreciated. He affirms 2 complements a day. He also affirms their Sunday relationship talk at 8 PM each Sunday. He also affirms passion and sensuality. And what he does in those regards. He also focuses on the 20 or so great attributes of Ginger. He also affirms letting go of frustration quickly. Further, in his visualization each quarter he has a new goal for his relationship. Along with the three or four key behaviors associated with that goal. He also affirms continually making Ginger laugh – and their ongoing humorous vibe. He affirms that when she has been out and comes home, he makes it a point to come greet her. He also tells her she’s a great dresser. And he honors her requests quickly. Those are just examples of some of the things in John’s visualization. After John explains all this, he gives a sample of now listening to his visualization. Using the speechify app. And he uses the example of where he can listen to his visualization using his own voice or a celebrity voice. Like Snoop Dogg. It’s pretty enlightening. John and Kelly then talk about the five love languages and what’s most important to men and what’s most important to women.

  • Netting Over $1 Million A Year

    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss netting over $1 million a year. Which only one third of 1% of people are able to do. John talks about when he was first able to do this in his early 50s. It happened because he had immensely more control over himself. He could do now five high-performance skills he couldn’t do before. He was highly organized. Planned this day the night before and time blocked his day. He was deep thinking two times a week. He was growing intellectually, in areas that were strategic relative to what he wanted to accomplish. He was focused only on what moves the needle. And he had control over his daily actions, 95% which are unconscious. Kelly goes on to say that when she crossed over to netting over million dollars a year, it allowed her to just have more impact. Those same five high-performance skills were things she could now do consistently. John goes on to talk about how important it is that you choose a business that is leveraged. As an example, he talks about how in the reverse mortgage business he would make $30,000 a reverse mortgage versus when he sold his time by the hour as a CPA he make $200 an hour. John also recounts how he celebrated the first time he went over that magic milestone of netting over million dollars a year.

  • There’s More In The Tank

    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss something that Kelly actually said to John when she met him. She said she felt like there was more in the tank. She couldn’t understand the disconnect between her efforts and your results. Why weren’t the results better. Again, there was more in the tank that she couldn’t get out. Then as John started to teach her the methodology, he explained to her why she felt that way. Your daily actions determine your success in each area of your life. 95% of your daily actions are unconscious. Therefore if you’re not gaining control over those unconscious daily actions, you’re playing the game of life at 5% of your potential. That’s why you feel like there’s more in the tank. John went on to explain that he felt there was more in the tank when he turned 50. But he also realized he just wasn’t taking the right actions. The actions he was taking was netting him $200,000 a year. But when he started taking the right actions, he made 25 times that. John talks about the five high performance skills that he learned in his 50s that are reaffirmed in his daily visualization. He had to be a 10 on organization. So he created a very simple powerful system. Another high-performance skills was setting aside time to just think two times a week. The third one was using a system to bring in the wisdom of experts into his head each and every week. In strategic areas he needed. The fourth high-performance skill was focusing on what moves the needle. And really understanding what that is. And then the fifth high-performance skill was leveraging himself by understanding how the human mind works. Kelly points out that virtually every client of think it be it says that they feel like there is more in the tank when they start the process. John talks about how when he tries to influence people, he now asked them five questions. First, how driven are you? They need to be a nine or 10. Second question is how do you create success in your life? Most people won’t have a way. Third question is do you feel like there is more in the tank? Then the fourth question is how important is it to play at your full potential? And then the fifth question is what is your morning routine. The lesson John has learned is that you influence people more with questions than by telling them.

  • You’ve Got To Figure Out Your Life

    In this episode, John and Kelly discuss that is on you to figure out your life. John talks about coming to grips with this when he was 50 years old. And not only did he have to accept full responsibility, he also saw that he had to figure out the specific actions he had to take to create the life he wanted. A big challenge. But then the answer appeared. It came from think and grow Rich. Create immense clarity about your life. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you’re going to achieve your clearly defined goals. Feed that to yourself every day. Then the right actions happen automatically without thinking. But what’s significant here is that when you start with the end in mind and work backwards, the right actions to take become apparent. During this podcast John and Kelly talk about how most people are just winging life, re-creating the past. To some degree this is happening because people are shallow thinking. They’re not deep thinking. That’s a result of the flip through culture we live in. But here’s the bottom line of what we learned today. Accept the fact that you have to accept full responsibility for your life. Not looking for anyone else or looking for external factors to change. Then you need to figure out the right actions to take. That happens from starting with the end in mind and working backwards. See you what you want to achieve and the right actions will become obvious. Then feed that to yourself every day. That’s what makes the right actions then happen automatically without thinking.
