Elaine is ripped from this world to Pallos, a land of unlimited possibilities made real by a grand system governing classes, skills, and magic.

An ideal society? What is this, a fantasy novel?

Adventures? Right this way!

A grand quest? Nah.

Friends and loot? Heck yes!

Humans are the top dog? Nope; dinosaur food.

Healing and fighting? Well, everything is trying to eat her.

Join Elaine as she travels around Pallos, discovering all the wonders and mysteries of the world, trying to find a place where she belongs, hunting those elusive mangos, all while the ominous Dragoneye Moons watch her every move....

The author needs to brush up on some of the principles of storytelling.

The author heavily relies on expositional monologue to impart information which isn't even plot relevant. The worst offender being the System Day, a very long scene which could have been reduced down to the very last part where they girls were forced to leave showing how woman are treated badly.

The story overall is meandering and lacks coherent direction. The MC doesn't do anything, they simply react to things happening around them.

amateurish writing

The narrator was amazing! She went from voicing a small child to a teenager flawlessly. Can’t wait to hear more from her!
This was such a fun book to get into, and I’m so excited that there are so many others that follow. Definitely recommend to other litRPG listeners

Great book!

The book has a purdy slow burn in the beginning... and yes it's a Isekai adventure, Elaine our MC dies and finds herself bargaining with a god to keep her memories. Little does she know that she has'ta grow-up all over again... and yes she gets some stats but the adventure really ignites when she runs away from home. Although I like Elaine well enough, I love Artemis her mentor and best friend. Also Silkie Myth plays around with the idea of equal rights for women in this new world, but they don't take it very far... other than having Elaine run from an arranged marriage. Perhaps it'll be a concern for later in the series.
I found Andrea Emmes an apt narrator.

I love farreting out the quotes that amuse me, here's a couple of 'em:

"We can say it's a new skill of yours, loose a body part, get an old friend for dinner."

"It was becoming clear that violence was cold and calculating here, and exterminating dozens if not 100s of bandits in a night was Wednesday."

worthwhile Isekai adventure.

This book considers the human experience of a person moving between worlds. It doesn’t mean hand wave the transition in experience and explain how one might emotionally change from this experience.

The system is thoughtful, the interactions between characters make sense, I would read this over most all other litRPG it is not a power fantasy, it is an exploration of experience. 10/10

Great context and wonderful writing

Interesting enough story though I'm not sure why the levels need to be that high for stuff to still seem weak but not story breaking. Some interesting characters but a lot of unnecessary character aspects. Hopefully the main character gets some actual maturity because kid/teenage mindset excuses only so much behavior when you still have past life memories. She comes off more annoying since she knows what she should be doing or at least trying to but she is being blissfully ignorant.

Entertaining
