Great Summary

I did not look closely before purchase. Just clicked on first entry for title. Didn’t realize it was a 30 min synopsis, not full 8-10 hr book. Still may be useful, but not what I had intended.

It wasn’t made clear it was just a summary of the book. Information given was good, but not worth one credit.

Short

Brené Brown‘s work is phenomenal. I know many, many people who are familiar and well versed in Dr. Brown’s work. I don’t know anybody that thinks her work is anything short of phenomenal. Unfortunately, this “summary book“ is narrated by a person who shouldn’t be narrating. The narrator’s response to punctuation is odd and inconsistent. For example, he doesn’t pause long enough at periods, and he pauses in midsentence. There’s no flow. It’s very distracting…so much so that it negatively affects the ability to really take in the content. Also, Brené Brown is a wonderful narrator, and her voice, as well as her command of her own content, are additional benefits when listening to her narrate her own books. Unfortunately, the narrator of this book is nowhere near a Brené Brown.

Great content, terrible narration!
