About this listen

The epic series from #1 bestselling global phenomenon author Sarah J. Maas continues with a stunning story of love, war, and revenge.

Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to bring her land to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit.

One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre but for everything—and everyone she holds dear.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavors to take her place as one of the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers—both magical and political—and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must
decide whom to trust among the cunning and lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

In this thrilling third book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series, the fate of Feyre’s world is at stake as armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy it.

I couldn't listen to this :'(

What didn’t you like about Amanda Leigh Cobb’s performance?

She is not Jennifer Ikeda! Ikeda has an amazing way of portraying all of the characters and has so much differentiation between characters she is so amazing at what she does. Amanda's Rysand is just awful and I couldn't even concentrate or get into the book. Also she isn't very good at differentiating between characters.
I have listened to ACOTAR and ACOMAF many times over and i pretty much play them on repeat so at least 6 times apiece, and I have been waiting a year for this book to come out! And then i hear not Ikeda, but Cobb and pretty much break down crying lol. It's like if you take everyone from the cast of Friends and replace them with other actors, its just not the same and they are all wrong.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I went out and bought the book and read it in 3 days, with Ikeda's voice in my head so much better than this recording. But even that I could not get into the book like the first to.

Any additional comments?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE redo this book with Jennifer Ikeda!!!

God boom but too many sex scenes

the narrator was awesome. The story was well written and interesting to listen to. I would have given it 5 starts if it wasn't for the sex scenes. I don't mind a little of erotica, but these scenes tend to go on and on and on. They don't advance the story at all, in fact they offer an unwelcome pause to the plot of the book. It was still a great novel overl all and I will be reading the next book ❤

better than the last book I must say, but the chan

well this was better than the last book I'll say that but the changing narrator this late into the Saga was a seriously bad move.

Wonderful!!

Yes, they changed the narrator. But I think I enjoyed Amanda more? I thought she did a great job. She made Mor sound a bit Irish which was weird and of course, I hear everyone else in my head differently than she performs (I read this book in hardback first and then listened to it) but I still found myself engaged in the story and could differentiate between the characters through her performance so that was nice.

I slightly agree with another reviewer in saying that the intimate scenes weren't as "sexy" in her voice but I also find myself a little weirded out being read intimate details so it could just be me. And the other narrator sounded much older than Feyre is supposed to be so who wins really?

As for the story.... OMGBESTILLMYHEART.

Rip me open why don't ya.
So many things to say about the story but I don't like spoilers or anything that could make people guess or think they know what's happening so, I tell you nothing.

It's a roller coaster. Feyre is BA. Rhys is perfect. Everything was awesome (queue singing)

LOVE THE NEW NARRATOR

I honestly like the new narrator more than the last! I think she did a terrific job and although the old narrator was good as well I just like the new one more :)

Review on the audible narrative of court of wings an ruin.

I really , really enjoyed Amanda Leigh Cobbs narrative of a court of wings and ruin, far more than the previous talented narrator. She brought life and emotion into the text. So much ,that I found my self acting out some of her motions, as if I was the character doing them. I read all the books first, but I’ve been working a lot, so I have started listening to the audio books, and it has changed my world. Please send more material for her to do more narratives!!! It’s a master class in its self!

Good continuation of the storyline (No spoilers)

This books has explained alot of characters from book 1&2 (Hence its length 82 chapter). Plot still exciting! Performance of the reader is 4/5 with some chapters weakly read as the others but overall still great! Excited to listen to the next book.

Good story but...

I listened to this the day it came out and I didn't notice it... But then I just re listened to all of them and had to turn it off. It's the not narrators fault. She was hired to do it, but I can't continue listening to her narrate. Why'd they change the original narrator? I have the hard copies so I'll just read them instead of listening.

Change in narrator broke my heart.

After bingeing the series, the change in voice made it so difficult to get lost in the story as I had in the previous two books, no matter how much I wanted to. I just never got used to it. This does not reflect poorly on Amanda's performance, only that after so long of hearing and feeling the characters, the change was too jarring. I kept getting distracted with imagining how Jennifer would have inflected words differently, almost hearing the narrator's voice and Jennifer's voice in the background like an edit.

Amazing!! Couldn't stop listening!

And epic ending to this incredible trilogy.

New narrator, but honestly didn't notice at all. She was fantastic and did justice to all the characters.
