Did Dotrice get a bump on the head?

If you could sum up A Feast for Crows in three words, what would they be?

Great story, hampered by inconsistent performance.

How could the performance have been better?

Dotrice could easily have reviewed his previous pronunciations of names (like Catelyn and Petyr) and, more importantly, voices. His Dolorous Edd went from a brilliantly deadpan nasal to a cross between Hagrid and Davos Seaworth. Sam has apparently turned into a halfwit, if his new voice is any indication. It is sad.

Awesome book. Cersei chapters are best. Sams journey is one of the best as well.

I like this book. however it didn't cover my favorite characters as much as i would like.

Voice Acting

Could use more consistency with voices. Even hiring multiple speakers could help. Still, I enjoyed it.

roy dotrice reading the book makes it unenjoyable

randomly changes inflections and accents of characters. sometimes mid sentence. makes for a hard listen.

narrator

I do love the got novels! My only quarell is that the narrator was pronouncing some of the names incorrectly. it was quite obnoxious especially when he kept saying Brienne of tarth oddly. Catlyn as well was pronounced like a typical Caitlin. As the narrator you should probably contact the author to make sure you are saying the names/places correctly so you reach the wider audience! We are fans, don't get it wrong!

Addictive

excellent complex characters and beautifully narrated. so addictive that it's difficult to quit the audio.

A Book of Queens

Another Great Book in the Song of Fire and Ice! This time, from the perspective of the powerful women of the lands.

One of the slower books in the series

My main complaint is that pacing was a little slower than previous books. Also that the narrator changed up his voices for characters, Arya sounding more manly for example. Story was good, a bit more filler and background introduced this time around.

Horrible narration

What didn’t you like about Roy Dotrice’s performance?

Inconsistent voices and narrations, full of changing accents - not only varies from book to book but chapter to chapter so characters are poor and often sound the same and when there is dialogue it sounds like a monologue... lazy and shoddy.
