Missing characters...

This one was a bit boring as it is missing a lot of characters! Very excited for the next book!

There was so many character to keep up with. At times I was lost.

great story, but this one sounds​ really bad

in short, I love the books and I love listening to them. however, this one sounded like it was recorded through a metal tube and didn't have the same quality as previous books.

Hradest voice ever

This person that read this audio is too hard to understand. His imitation voices are to harsh and offensive to the point they become garbled. The Britt accent is hard enough to understand without it being over exaggerated.

This is where the books and TV show diverge

Still a lot of overlap but things happen to some of our favorite characters that you won't be prepared for and made me very sad. That said, I'm not a huge fan of the reader, as i've made plain in my other reviews of the previous books. He doesn't have a broad range of voices, nor can he keep straight which voice he used for who. Considering what a massive hit the show was I wish they'd hire a full cast to re-do the recording... or at least someone with more versatility

Not the best in the series

Certainly the slowest of the four thus far, particularly as so many of the main characters were absent. Whether or not Martin Intended this to be mostly expositional and a platform for many secondary characters is hard to fathom. Less all out war and more one on one sword play plus lots of execution seems to make up the bulk of bloodletting.

Regardless, Volume 5 will follow up soon enough as it looks like Volume 6 still has an as yet announced release date.

Wasnt as much action as the prior books. The book is still good and sets up the next book well.

Great Book

Really great over all. My one small complaint is the narrator often forgot the voices he used for different characters. This is the only (easily understandable) issue I had with the reading.

What happened to Roy?

Roy has been so consistent in the first three books and is an excellent narrator. However, like others have pointed out, he varies significantly in character voices in this book and even mispronounces several character names. For example, at one point, he mispronounces Brienne and shortly later pronounces it correctly. I hope he gets the fifth book right.
