Publisher's summary
Olivia Kiskey needs a change. She’s been working at the same Nodaway Falls, New York, waffle house since she was a teenager; not a lot of upward mobility there. She’s been in love with Tobias, the cook, for the last four years; he's never made a move. Every Saturday night, she gathers with her three best friends—Peach, Millie, and Stacy—and drinks the same margaritas while listening to the same old stories. Intent on shaking things up, she puts her house on the market, buys a one-way ticket to Europe, and announces her plans to her friends... but then she meets Davina Granville, a strange and mystical Southern woman who shows Olivia that there is more to her life than she ever dreamed.
As Liv’s latent magical powers come to the surface, she discovers that having an interesting life is maybe not all it’s cracked up to be. The dark side of someone else’s magic is taking over good people in town, and changing them into vessels of malevolence. Unwilling to cede her home to darkness, she battles the demons of her familial past and her magical present, with those she loves at her side - and in the cross fire. Can the most important things in life—friendship, love, magic, and waffles—get her through the worst that the universe can throw at her?

Story
When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

Story
"Happily Ever After" wasn't supposed to come with a do-over option. But when my husband of 20 years packs up and heads for greener pastures, and my son heads away to college, that's exactly what my midlife becomes. A do-over. This time, though, I plan to do things differently. Age is just a number, after all, and at 40 I'm ready to carve my own path. Eager for a fresh start, I make a somewhat unorthodox decision and move to a tiny town in the Sierra foothills.

But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e., murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Sparrow “Ro” Meadowcroft is about to get the promotion she’s always dreamed of–curator of the museum where she works. She loves old things and the history that surrounds them, so when a patron leaves some items to the museum, Ro is eager to dig in. The sword in the stone that comes with those items is clearly a joke. A well-made but obvious replica meant to be a conversation starter. Why anyone would think that belonged in the museum is beyond her, but she can’t resist taking a crack at it and finding out if she’s the chosen one. And as it turns out...she is.

Great little book
Would you listen to A Little Night Magic again? Why?
This narrater does an excellent job in voice changes to make each character distinct. This is extremely important in an audiobook.
What did you like best about this story?
The story is about a young woman who has a low self esteem and who needs to find herself and make some quick decisions in order to save herself and others.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was at the end of the book when the two lovers confess their love for each other and vow to be together for as long as they can. This also sets the story up for a nice continuance.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
While I did not have an extreme reaction to this book, it did make me feel many emotions while listening. I felt sad when we learned her sister was murdered and excited when she told the man whom she had a crush on that she loved him and he responded with his love for her.
Any additional comments?
The story line was good, lonely girl wants a change, has a crush on a boy, tries to make the change but is thwarted by one little event that catapolts her into this new world of magic and finally the begin a joyous life together ... unless the witch police come, but that may be another story.

Cute Story, Amazing Narrator!
Any additional comments?
Story
I picked this audio up awhile ago, saving it for a time when I was in the mood for something cute and magical. This book delivered that, although it definitely had a darker side.
The town of Nodaway Falls felt cozy mystery charming, and someday I will make the Hubs move to a smaller, quainter town than where we currently live. Where, no doubt, I will suddenly discover that I have latent magical abilities, or that I'm actually quite crafty. I also loved the romantic tension between Olivia and Tobias. Although, authors, please. Stop trying to make the name Tobias sexy. It's not sexy. It's an old pervy man's name.
Friendship plays a large role in the book too. Despite the fact that it soon sours, I loved that Olivia met up with her friends Peach, Millie and Stacey weekly for drinks and confession. The difference between the women was nice, but still made sense that they would connect. However, some of the secrets and jealousy lingering beneath the surface were plain troubling.
The magic in the book is unique, or at least it's new to me. There's daytime magic users and nighttime magic users, and I like the constraints and problems the magic rules caused. Watching Olivia discover her magic and her true history was both fun and interesting- you have to love ceramic mug bunnies and paper birds!
I didn't expect this book to be as dark as it was in places, but I think it needed the higher stakes involved. It's not a perfect book by any means, sometimes the characters felt a little immature or silly. But because the book has such a great narrator, it helped me overlook issues that I might have worried more about had I read the book in print.
Narrator
Once again, Amanda Ronconi! When I bought this book on Audible it was before I became a huge fan of Ronconi, but she's the main reason I finally listened to it. I had just finished another audio narrated by her and wasn't quite ready to move to a new narrator, event though the two books were both magical romances. Like I said, this book had some flaws, but with a great narration it's easy to just go with the flow and enjoy the fun and magic!

A Little Night Magic
What did you like best about A Little Night Magic? What did you like least?
Like about this book, nothing.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
It needed to have a more reasonable story. I was disapointed in this book.
What aspect of Amanda Ronconi’s performance would you have changed?
The narator Ms Roconi would possablly make her readng more interesting if her characters would (as well as other books I have listened to) have more persons read other characters involed lines to make it more interesting. An example men read men and women read women's lines. I was not inpressed with with her trying to read all parts.
Was A Little Night Magic worth the listening time?
No.
Any additional comments?
Ms March needs to write books a little more realistic. It took me only about 15 minutes after her friend introducing magic came into the picture at the resturant ( sorry I read it a bit ago and do not remember the name) to figure who was the villian. I thought this story was a little too far fetched. I did give her the benefit of the doubt just to see if the story would have a beliveable plot. I do not believe I will waste my money and time with any more of her novels read by her or writen by Ms March.
