Publisher's summary

Evelyn's deeds are coming back to haunt her.

Free to travel among the stars, the former warlord is enjoying her freedom, even if she’s occasionally exasperated by the women who’ve attached themselves to her. They accompany her as she encounters wonders, from dryad terraforming ships to the orcish arenas of Skaloth.

Yet Evelyn has enemies, and they have not forgotten her. They target one of the few people she truly cares about, knowing that Evelyn will come. When she does she may be drawn into a trap from which even she can’t escape.

Another awesome Benjamin Medrano series

You seriously have too love Benjamin Medrano's writing. Seriously every time I think of female fantasy harem done right, Medrano is who comes to mind. Do note! That I am talking about the actual good story and world building with interesting relationships that enhances the story. Yes that kind of harem. Not the disguised as fantasy harem, But is in fact just porn in the version of a book. So with that having been said Medrano man you've done it again you've gone written another amazing series that kept me listening and just wanting more. I didn't think I would like this series at first but damn was I wrong.

great second book.

I really like how the books are setting up. A+ writer and narration. Hopefully they have some cameos from his other books.

Lost in editing

Fun characters in a good story.
Good sound quality and excellent performance, but alas a few editing mistakes. On several occasions the segue between two lines was stilted as though an entire line was missing. This was evident in both sound quality and the lines read themselves where a monologue or explanation just stopped awkwardly. This happened maybe 4 or 5 times. Not enough to ruin the book.

Prepare to lose some sleep

I couldn't put it down. The action scenes, characters and world building kept me wanting for the next chapter.

What a great way to spend a weekend

I love this series and I am sad to start book 3. I hope the series continues because even though I have started the third book I already miss this adventure.

About halfway..

About halfway through the book I was getting very fed up with the meekness of so many of the characters. Things started getting better, but characters are still pretty shallow.

Loving this series

Benjamin Medrano, this is a wonderful second book in the series but I think Evelyn might need a bigger ship as her crew continues to grow hehehe. Once again you have given me an enjoyable story to delve into. Thank you.

Abby, once again you are awesome. Your voice always brings a wonderfully written story to life.

The transition from book 1 to book 2 in the Eve of Destruction series was perfect and I will fidget every day waiting for book 3.

In this book, it is proven that Evelyn is not the only powerful being around and that under the right circumstances and with the right weaponry she could be killed, but not easily. The ending of this book in the series makes for a perfect lead into the upcoming book 3 that we will have to wait impatiently for.

I love how Benjamin continues developing the different personalities of the characters and expanding on the role each of them plays as part of Evelyn’s crew. Utilizing and developing their abilities to make them more effective members of the team.

As the series continues, I look forward to seeing how Vania and her guards integrate more fully into the story and how the relationship between Vania and Evelyn develops.

What will Ilyra do with the data that will prove that she is of noble birth? Will she go back to her old life or continue being part of Evelyn’s crew? We will likely bring this subplot to a conclusion in the upcoming book 3 or in a later book of the series one way or another.

Fya continues to make very good comic relief with her mischief. I giggle at her antics and total devotion to her friend.

I get a feeling that little ten-year-old Natalia will grow into a rather powerful mage as the series continues if she is as determined as she appears to be.

The story of Evelyn has so far been a wonderful ride and I for one am looking forward to much more to come.

YOU HAVE TO BUY NOW. Truly amazing.

I have heard both books 3 times each and can't wait for next one. MC is without a doubt what would happen if the most powerful sith/jedi had a baby with spartan 117. oh and she is super sexy as well as powerful. narrator does an amazing job bringing her to life.

better than I thought it would be!

the main character really is a Mary Sue, but her power and attitude is at least better explained in this second book, and she actually almost dies! there's even another character that is more powerful than her in it, if it can be believed! This story really is well told, truth be what it is, and if you can just get over the fact that the main character will always be beautiful and powerful, and always have endearing "faults", along with probably nearly living forever, the rest of the characters and the story itself is pretty fun to listen to. it's like all the best parts of the story, told by someone who is a fan of sardonic humor.
