Publisher's summary

Cayson is in love with Skye Preston, his best friend for over 20 years. They grew up together, bathed together, and spent every holiday together. Hoarding the secret hasn't been easy. Every time Cayson sees her with a boyfriend, he wants to smash his fist into a wall.

But he could never tell her the truth.

The close friendship they have is too good to be ruined. If he confessed his deepest feelings, how would it change what they have? Would he lose her altogether?

But everything changes when Cayson finds Skye at a party, drunk and incoherent. Unable to stand on her own two feet, with breath reeking of alcohol, she's easy prey for the men staring at her noticeable chest. Cayson immediately scoops her into his arms and takes her home. But when they arrive at the house, Skye doesn't want to sleep. Instead, she wants Cayson in a way she never has before.

What will this mean for their relationship? Is it the start of something Cayson has always dreamed of? Or will it be the end?

Author's note: This audiobook does not end with a cliffhanger.

Book Review

I admit I struggled the first time I attempted to read this, being that I've read so many books in this genre and am not a YA...I found it hard to relate to the first time, but I really wanted to give it a chance and got hooked! I love the main male character, you don't see too many of his kind in these types of books and it was refreshing! Not that I don't love a hot steamy romance, but it was a nice wholesome change!

What went wrong with this?

This could have been a good story but the plot wasn't developed enough for some of the characters. The narration was so bad that too much of it sounded as if being read by people just learning how to read, not knowing where to put emphasis in the sentences. Some of the male characters came across as dumb, the females as twangy. Very disappointing. I Ike Todd's work but not this !!

Not too bad

I liked the story and I liked the male narrator. However the female narrator was awful. The guys all sounded like "surfer dudes" and rather monotone. The women all sounded like bimbos. it wasn't pleasant to listen to. The guy narrator did a good job

Awesome

A good story. Liked the way that families are like one family and care for them.

Love the Series

I love this book and the entire seriers. I wish I could own the entire series on book form. I could only find it on audible and kindle. I juat want to say this is a great seriers and when I frist listen and read it , I didn't know you had a different seriers before this one. It was also great as will.
I wish there was a seriers about how their got older and how their lives went on and how their kids grew up. Plus I always wonder what ever happend to Sky did she ever go back to the company or completely walk away?

Good story, lousy narration

I liked the story. It kept me interested. It was a little juvenile at times. The narrators, however, were unprofessional and sounded immature. They sound like high school kids.

Ok story not the greatest performance

Nick Russo did a pretty decent job with his performance. Unfortunately his role was much shorter than fauna Nyx. She was awful. Her acting was bad and her voices were worse. Her males voices were terrible and cringeworthy. Her female voices were nasal and pitchy. I had to fast forward the story on 2x speed to tolerate her performance.

The story itself was ok but annoying. The female lead is dating someone she supposedly finds extremely attractive and sexually stimulating but the next sentence is her telling us how he isn't good in bed. They constantly fight and she yells at him to leave and you never see any good or interesting interactions between them. This is a supposedly brilliant young woman.

Carson, the male lead had been in love with her , his best friend, forever and tries to get over her by dating another woman. He realizes she likes him far more than he feels for her. Despite him telling her he's only with her to get over his one true love they continue to sleep together in a monogamous relationship. This didn't endear me to cays on too much.

All in all the sexual scenes were minimal and non existent between the two main leads. More like a young adult story than one for adults.

Definitely better stories to read or listen to

Slow moving

There were too many characters for only two narrators. I almost stopped listening because they sounded like junior high students not college aged students
