Publisher's summary

During the largest winter storm in a 100 years, America is hit with a multi-pronged cyberattack that destroys the power grid, crippling the country at the worst possible moment. Like millions of others, Nate Bauer and his pregnant wife Amy are bracing for the coming storm, when the lights go out.

For years, living in the shadow of a nuclear power plant had been a source of employment and security for their tiny community. Except, hidden deep within the malignant code are instructions that could push the plant into meltdown.

Trapped between fire and ice, and with the country collapsing around them, Nate and his family are about to face the toughest decision of their lives.

America Offline: Zero Day is a nail-biting, post-apocalyptic ride, perfect for fans of EMP and survival fiction.

Nice easy pace and not drawn out

Unlike other books, it wasn't 16 hours long or filled with unnecessary details. Very enjoyable.

Good book

It is a good story but leaves a little bit to be desired as far as the conclusion. It ended like the end of a chapter not a book. The performance was great I guess I'll have to buy the 2nd book to hear the end of the first book.

Great Action & Suspense

America Offline is a thrilling post-apocalyptic story with a gripping plot. The severity of a cyberattack with the precise timing and during a relentless winter storm sets off a domino effect of one catastrophe after another. The loss of resources and the magnitude of the attack has a crumbling impact on the fabric of society, thus resulting in a total collapse.

The build-up of intensity is terrific, with a high degree of unpredictability and action. The characters are phenomenally developed, ordinary, and authentic; both their interaction and the dialog are natural. The storyline is engaging, centering around, Nate Bauer, a prepper and his wife Amy, who happens to be pregnant, and their survival as the world they know crumble around them. Despite being a prepper, Nate finds himself challenged, dealing with uncertainty in his plans, and a situation that is going fast out of control.

Gary Tiedemann does an outstanding job with the narration, injecting the emotions and intensity found in the pages, bringing the story to life. The series is intriguing with a different take on this genre, one I highly recommend. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

A great story to listen to!

I have been a fan of this genre for at least 40 years. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I like how William H. Weber paced this book. He slowed down at the right moments to dig deeper into a subject, then picked up the pace afterwards. Mr. Weber should be a great read for all who love this genre. Gary Tiedemann did an outstanding job narrating this book. I believe this is the first audio book that I listened to his narration. I highly recommend this book to all.
