Love this series

This series is my favorite! However, this audio book sounded different that the 5-6 before. You can hear the reader swallow and there’s a weird sound in the background.

Love all the characters

Love Robyn Carr books they have a great flow of characters that she has blended so well. Her books make you want to visit Virgin River and get to know them all.

Virgin River Characters come alive!

The combination of great characterization and fantastic narration made Angel's Peak my favorite so far in the Virgin River series. Ms. Carr perfectly captured a 3 year old's behavior. She makes you fall in love with this little girl! This book will make you laugh out loud and cry some real tears. I love the way Ms. Carr lets the reader catch up with all of the other Virgin River characters while telling the story of the primary characters within each book. Excellent series!

Recording quality not as good as usual...

I love Robyn Carr and I love Therese Plummer....this book is no exception. My only complaint is relatively minor but significant. This is the first time I’ve ever been aware of the recording turning on and off. It’s like you can hear the “whir” of a cassette tape. I also could hear what sounded like the narrator swallowing in between sentences and paragraphs. It became distracting, but still one of the best narrators out there. Hopefully, this won’t continue with future books.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! I think this is my favorite Virgin River book so far. There are just so many things to enjoy about it.

What did you like best about this story?

Rosie. She is such a gem in this story.

Which scene was your favorite?

So many to choose from. It would definately involve Shawn. It's a toss up between the scene he meets Franci in the grocery store and the first day he spends with Rosie. I don't want to give details & spoil the fun for anyone. I found myself laughing out loud in both of those.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, lots of laughter,but it is still well rounded, like most of Carr's books.

Virgin River is like coming home.

What did you love best about Angel’s Peak?

I love the characters in Angel's Peak, they are real life people, who make mistakes and have regrets just like the rest of us. In other words you can relate to these people. In this book you see that second chances do happen sometimes.

What did you like best about this story?

I am addicted to Virgin River, the continuation of the lives of all the characters makes you feel like you are visiting neighbors and catching up.

What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?

This Lady is awesome I get so involved with the story because I am seeing it through her eyes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No to be honest I am always sad to get to the end and have to say good bye to my friends.

Any additional comments?

I am usually into mysteries but Virgin River has captured my heart.

Would you listen to Angel’s Peak again? Why?

YES I WOULD. This was my 4th Virgin River book, and I believe I liked it best. The hero had a lot of growing up to do, and I would not have put up with him, but, the story was great, with lots of twists and turns, and as usual other romances entwined in the story which makes its more interesting.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved the little daughter, "My Wild Irish Rose". She was quite a little character and added to the story in more ways than one.

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

One of my Virgin River books is an ebook Christmas book that I had bought on Christmas
Day last year. I had not read it until I had listened to the audible books. As I read the book I could hear Therese Plummer's voice in my head. It was if she were reading to me. She is "Virgin River". You can't have one without the other. She is so great.

Grow up

Unlike most romance novels on the market today, Robyn’s books center on personal responsibility. Here a Peter Pan is shocked to find he must suddenly grow up. The man is supposed to be charming, and of course handsome. I find his lack of commitment tedious, but a surprise character does help him evolve. That other character is adorable (no spoilers here).
