Enjoyable but not as compelling as other boos in the series

I am a fan of the stories of the family of Peter and Rina Lazarus starting with the opening “ The Ritual Bath”. I find that some plots are too far-fetched.
I also prefer when the children are involved or appear more. In the present book Cindy appears briefly as newly married and Hannah is a moody teenager.

I li km the reader little to many cuss words but the plight was good and a good read like Deana participating and would like more of her

Another great Peter Decker novel

This one was just as good as all the other Peter Decker novels. Exciting and fun.

Good enough

I don't know what it is about Decker and his family but I find them such nice people that I listen happily to the books as if the narration weren't really about murder and mayhem (which they are). The courage and genuine humanity of the Decker family influences my experience of the book. The story is good, not great - but good enough to make me read on.

The hours spent by police trying to get the truth out of the suspects.

The blind man’s persistence & Rinas nicety towards him. How he moved around using his other senses.
