Nicholas Flamel appeared in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter—but did you know he really lived? And his secrets aren't safe! Discover the truth in book three of the New York Times bestselling series the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.

The Problem: Perenelle Flamel is trapped.

What’s Worse: Sophie and Josh might soon be as well.

Paris was destroyed by John Dee and Niccolo Machiavelli, but the missing pages of the Book of Abraham the Mage are still protected from Dee and the Dark Elders. Except Perenelle is imprisoned on Alcatraz and now Scatty is missing, leaving a weakening Nicholas as Sophie and Josh's only protection in Lond, a city Dee has under his control.
The only hope of defeating Dee and escaping London is to find an Elder to teach the twins the third elemental magic—Water Magic. The bad news? The lone option is Gilgamesh the King, and he is absolutely insane.

Where does The Sorceress rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This whole series ranks in the top of my read/listen list. This is the 3rd book is series of 6 and all are equally as good as the next.

What other book might you compare The Sorceress to and why?

I found this series when looking for a replacement for the Harry Potter series. I was never a big reader when I was a kid and got into reading with the Potter series and the Dan Brown books. I like The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flemel is a good replacement for each. With is set in modern times and adding the history of the worlds Gods from ancient times and historical figures from real history wrapped into a magical story that spans different realms this series will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat until the end.

Have you listened to any of Paul Boehmer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. I have listen to several of Paul's other performances and this one hold to the same standard that I notice that Paul seems to hold his performances too.

Great read and listen

I cant help but believe the distrust between the twins and Flamel was overplayed. I enjoyed the story but grew tired of that sub-plot.

Trust Flamel

While listening I often forgot all of these events happen within a few days in the story. There is so much action and amazing descriptions of the world I tend to get lost in the fantasy. 2 quick notes on the writing: 1. Scott loves to repeat words like dung, dung colored, and gossamer threads. 2. He also likes to namedrop famous people. If you listened to it you know what I mean, he still has me hooked though!

Thrilling
