Featured Article: Virgin River—The Definitive Explainer
Before it was adapted into a Netflix show, Virgin River was a series of more than 20 novels by New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr. The audiobooks, all read by Audie Award-winning narrator Thérèse Plummer, are well-loved by a wide audience. The series takes place in Virgin River and revolves around new resident Melinda Monroe, a nurse practitioner and midwife. There's more to this sleepy town than first appearances suggest.

I don’t like “she turned to walk away and he grabbed her arm.” This one has that and it ends okay but despite the considerate and consistent use of condoms through the entire series no males seem to be cognizant of the consent requirement before physical restraining a woman saying no.
And. Big pet peeves. One has to resort to Google to determine the series order rather than it showing up on the cover or the book details. Really? Is this a reliable trick to get us to buy more books? AND. The despicable habit of advertising another title at the end of a book I just finished is brought to maximum absurd offense by encouraging me to read an earlier book in the series. Huh? I finish the eleventh book and you think I need to go back to the fifth or sixth? Not cool.
Not angry, just peeved.
