Claire is a 20-something, single mom who grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he's asleep) toddler a better life.

When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time.

With Carter's undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire's panic that her stretch marks and slim-to-none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.

Warning: Contains explicit sex, profanity, and enough sarcasm to choke a horse.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely! I think all my friends with Kids should listen (read) this book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Drew cracks me up... Only because I have a friend just like him. Inappropriate t-shirts and all...

What three words best describe Romy Nordlinger’s voice?

Kind of disappointing.

If you could rename Seduction and Snacks, what would you call it?

Titillation and Tasty Treats

Any additional comments?

The book itself is absolutely hilarious! One of the funniest books I've read(listen to). The book is full of laugh out loud moments. Romy is doing well narrating the book. However, there are times with the book switches characters and it takes a minute which character she's portraying. I wish she could/would distinguish between her male and female voices. To my ears they’re all the same. Either way, I’ve enjoyed this book so much, I’m downloading the next one right now. Happy Listening!

Laugh Out Loud Hilarious!

This was quite a funny book with several laugh out loud moments. it was lighthearted, perfect for a holiday or travel.

I would give a warning though that the language is very explicit with lots of swearing throughout.

The narrator's performance is good, however I personally found that she sounded significantly older than the age of the characters, which I found distracting.

Fun and naughty

“Sweet baby innuendos, Batman!”
This worked for me best as a comedy rather than a romance. It’s a foul mouthed, raunchy love letter to the 80s and 90s. It probably won’t mean much unless you’re familiar with shows like Sixteen Candles, Beavis N Butthead, and especially Heathers. Seriously, there are a ton of pop culture references that are now a quarter century old.

“My throbbing python of love!”
Imagine the cable TV version of Joey from FRIENDS (or Stifler from American Pie) and you’ve got wingman Drew. Imagine crossing Phoebe with Stifler and you’ve got wingwoman Liz. Keggers,
nut punches, sex shops, and non-stop potty humor including a a foul mouthed preschooler (remember Stifler’s younger brother popping up during sexy times? Hmm, clearly more American Pie than FRIENDS).

“Holy Mother of Vaginas!”
Given that “vagina” was mentioned more times than “chocolate” (125 times vs 111j, and the F bomb was dropped 262 times (per Kindle), you know that the priority is raunchy, physical comedy…which I enjoy in smaller doses, like for a 30 minute sitcom or 90 min movie. At 10 hours long, the non-stop, over-the-top, ball gags and other dirty jokes got old.

“It was magically delicious, like Lucky Charms, but saltier and without the Leprechaun.
Green clovers, yellow horseshoes, and pink Ps (🍆)!”
Besides the immaturity overload, the other thing that harshed my mallow was the narration.
Ms. Nordinger was fantastic when narrating Claire’s POV. Unfortunately, she narrated Carter’s POV with the exact same voicing. It was a struggle for me to tell the POVs apart, Duet or dual narration would vastly improve my listening experience.

If Tarantino directed a 10 hr FRIENDS episode

This book had me in tears I laughed so hard. It really brightened my lunch break and morning commute.

LOVED IT!!!

I should preface this by saying that I don't know much about the story because I didn't get far, but it's mostly about the narration. This story seemed like exactly what I was looking for--fun, sarcastic, and crass. I listened to it for about 20 mins and couldn't take it anymore. There's swearing in the book and it talks about sex and you could feel how uncomfortable the narrator was about talking about it. If you've ever watched The Gilmore Girls, it would be about as comfortable if Emily Gilmore was talking about sex and swearing. This book needs someone like Kristen Wiig narrating it.
