The invasion is here. Already decimated by civil war, the armies of the Three Kingdoms struggle desperately to mount a defense against a force stronger than any they have fought before.

In the midst of the chaos, the actions and choices of a select few will shape the future of the land. Akira prepares to give up his Lordship. Ryuu wanders the Southern Kingdom, searching for a reason to fight. Moriko sits quietly, biding her time before she leaves the Three Kingdoms for good. Finally, across the Three Sisters, Nameless fight to keep his fragile alliance of clans together.

A new age is dawning in the Three Kingdoms. An age born in blood and sacrifice. An age shaped by the wind and the void.

A different type of story of the ninja . Interesting twist on the legendary Japanese warriors as the myths of did make them seem to have super human abilities. It wasn't the type of story that completely blows people away . It did keep me interested and entertained. I also appreciated that the author did not try to hard to shock or dismay the readers. He had a story to tell and told it without trying to pander to anyone.

Ryan Kirk knows how to keep you wanting more. The prequels can’t quench the thirst I have for more story. The ending isn’t quite what I expected and not quite satisfying but the overall story arch from the first to third book was engaging, thrilling, heart breaking and filled with sorrow and hope. I loved it very much, even with some things I preferred happening differently.

Andrew Tell’s performance takes a while to get used to but is quite enjoyable after you do. I enjoy his main character voices and that they stayed the same throughout the trilogy. It takes a lot of talent to keep one listening to just your voice and I commend him in his endurance and skill to do so. He’s not the best, but I appreciated having him narrate all three stories.

This trilogy was great!

The ending was not too much of a shock but it would definitely be what was needed. Everyone alive in the end is a fairly tale told to children

definitely a good series I enjoyed every minute of

This book was a true delight to listen to. I enjoyed tracking character progress, and the likeable characters combined with the compelling story makes this book one I expect to come back to again and again. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good listen.
