Publisher's summary

Caleb Shepperd knows Fran has her own motives for helping him escape prison, but he's not about to let a little thing like past betrayal stand in the way of his next paycheck. Until he's forced to meet with the sexy and psychotic pirate, Adelina Cande. They've met before. When he seduced her, cleared out her credit account, and left her for dead.

Caleb figures Adelina holds a grudge when she plants a bomb on his ship and demands he steal a fleet freighter for her, that is, if he ever wants to fly again. Get him drunk enough and he'll try anything once, but this time, he has to balance his own greed with the needs of a vengeful pirate and the scheming of his dubious second-in-command, Fran. What could possibly go wrong?

In the heart of Chitec headquarters, #1001 enlists an eager young technician to aid in her escape. But it's not freedom she wants. It's revenge. The memories of a life that don't belong to her demand she finishes what she started. She believes she killed Caleb, now she's targeting Chitec CEO Chen Hung, and not even the hopeful technician can dissuade her.

Synthetics don't make mistakes.

She thought she knew the truth.

She was wrong.

Good and annoying

Great narration and general story telling. However it finally goes too far with characters flip flopping sides with flimsy motivations so it can live up to the whole betrayal theme. Going to stop here

Good Raw Science fiction but not for young people

I must say I really love this book. It is raw and the characters are too. There are some sex scenes and language but it helped to really bring out the character. The narration is unique with multiple voice actors and even some minor sound effects. It is almost like a radio performance. I really enjoyed the authors description of each of the character's thoughts and the splitting up of the chapters by character. Overall good science fiction highly suggested not to listen to it in the car with the kids. It ended leaving me anxiously waiting for the next novel.

Actually better than the first book. Reads like Lost in Space, Firefly, and Blade Runner but grittier and meaner.

Thanks to the Fleet, Caleb is back on the extremely dangerous prison planet. Fran goes to rescue him but it's for her benefit not his. 1001 is in the organisations hospital where a young doctor has recalibrated her. He is enamoured of her and helps her escape. She is determined to kill her father, but when facing him she receives a hugh shock. She still thinks she killed Caleb. After the whole gang gets back together they head to the Black to find the Nine.

A smooth transition to book 2

Hesitantly bought book 1 of the 1000 revolution when I saw a Facebook advertisement and have to admit this series has had me asking for more and more. Book 2 filled that void instantly and can’t wait to continue the series.
