Enjoyed the first 4 Books

I liked the first 4 books, but you have to deal with a MC who blames himself for everything that goes wrong and goes through emotional trauma. I do enjoy Venom and his remakes throughout these stories. Book 5 is actually a Prequel that gives a lot of background on the Scarlet Lady which is referred to throughout books 1-4. Narrator does a good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Could be a good story, except for the narration.

Just my opinion, but the narrator lacked conviction or significant emotion. His tone was morose and brought the characters across as very androgynous. I only got a few chapters into it before I just couldn't take his voice anymore.

Time travel sucks

great series, with laughs, excitement, love, good friends and a few tears. Well written and near perfect narration. Thank you both for new friends and great memories.

GREAT start to a series - absolute hidden gem!

I found this book when looking through sci-fi/space opera epics and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The world building, character development and overall creativity made this a welcome addition to my growing library of Sci-Fi books. REALLY looking forward to the new series Shawn Robins has coming out at the end of the month, also great narration by C.J. Grey. My one question was the fit of book #5 in the order, but Shawn addressed that already and rearranged the order of the books

Great story. I actually truly enjoyed the whole thing. Loved The Scarlet Queen!

Took me a bit to get used CJ Gray, but he is actually very good.

Why can’t I protect everyone? It’s all my fault.

Not a bad listen, but follows the very predictable plot line of the main character losing many people close to him, and him going crazy with grief because he can’t protect everyone, it’s all his fault, bla bla. His horrible crazy behavior is somehow excused by everyone near him because of his grief.

It’s annoying having that be the plot line of 3/4 of the books I listen to.

Wisecracker kicks butt

This six book set was funny. Books 1 and 2 were seemed to be almost word for word from the first three books of Sean's Invasion: Earth Saga. I loved the Black Fleet with its mysterious enemy, and how they finally won. The Silver Timeship was cool because I love time travel, and because of it all the battle all space faring species are joins together in a united union. Book 5 was just a backstory to something asked in book 4. The final book was the best of all, they did a Sisko, for any Star Trek fans, if you listen to it you would get it.
