Kady, Ezra, Hanna, and Nik narrowly escaped with their lives from the attacks on Heimdall station and now find themselves crammed with 2,000 refugees on the container ship, Mao. With the jump station destroyed and their resources scarce, the only option is to return to Kerenza--but who knows what they'll find seven months after the invasion? Meanwhile, Kady's cousin, Asha, survived the initial BeiTech assault and has joined Kerenza's ragtag underground resistance. When Rhys--an old flame from Asha's past--reappears on Kerenza, the two find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict. With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heros will fall, and hearts will be broken.

The feeling of discovering that your favorite new listen is actually the start of a series is euphoric. That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book with this caveat. It is the conclusion of a story told in two superior novels. This novel is not near as engaging as the other two.Which scene was your favorite?
I thoroughly enjoyed and found myself absorbed during each of the reincarnations of AIDAN. It has served as fuel for my imagination in a way few things have. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending disappointed me. It could only have been more cliche if it had been set in an old widowed train car diner. the story is so well crafted until the ending scene. It took a lot away from he experience prior to this point.Any additional comments?
I highly recommend the entire series If I could follow an alternative time line I would choose to put the book down once the verdict had been reached. Perhaps the me from moments before the end of the book has done just that and is content with the entire thing.Am I Not Merciful?

Conclusion to an outstanding series!

This brings me to my main point. There should have been a fourth book with no new main characters introduced to wrap up everything, or at the very least an extra 100 or so pages in this book. There is a perfect fourth book location mentioned in the end of Obsidio. They rest for months on a farming planet but that is just a few lines. The wrap up should have taken place there, in my opinion.
All in all, I love his book and this series, I will mourn that it is over for years to come. My only wish is that there would have been four books instead of 3.
Should Not Have Been the Final Book
