Jerome K. Jerome is known of course for his novels that tell of the hilarious adventures of "Three Men" particularly the one here they are "in a Boat"! Jerome was one of the few authors of his day to scoff openly at the Spiritualist Movement.This story is an excellent spoof on the ghost stories that were churned out by the thousand that are for the most part rightly forgotten since they were never worth the paper they wasted. Save the trees!

Jerome's style is a bit sarcastic and ironic as always. But I like it anyway.
