I've always felt like an outsider. Until my 18th birthday, I didn't know how true that was. First, I started seeing strange things. Then, the tips of my ears began to shift. Now, even touching something made of iron makes me sick.

Am I losing my mind?

When four mysterious fae males corner me in the street, they bring terrifying news: I'm not human. I'm a changeling, a fae swapped at birth.

Under their powerful yet infuriating guidance, I return to Otherworld to train at their academy and determine to which of the four faerie courts I belong. But there's something much more dangerous than the four fae vying for my attention.

And if I don't unravel the fae's secrets, none of the changelings will survive. Including me.

Rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕 (5 dark, glimmering moons)

There are books that whisper to you.
Then there are books that pull you into the shadows, chain you to a throne made of thorns, and dare you to dance with the darkness itself.
Jenna Wolfhart’s A Dance with Darkness is the latter.

This book is a seductive fever dream wrapped in shadow and laced with betrayal, blood oaths, and kisses that feel like curses. The Fae world she paints is rich, dangerous, and utterly enchanting—like staring into a bonfire and daring it to burn you.

Our heroine? Fierce, smart, and just reckless enough to tempt fate. She’s not the damsel; she’s the damn storm. And the Unseelie Prince? If danger had a voice, it would be his. He’s every reader’s toxic fantasy—ruthless, charming, and more addictive than Faebane.

The plot? A spiraling waltz of tension and magic, where every deal has a price and every truth is wrapped in illusion. It doesn’t just keep you on the edge of your seat—it shoves you off it, laughing as you fall.

Side Effects May Include:
• Screaming internally at 2 a.m.
• Glaring at other books for not being this unhinged
• Wanting to stab or kiss someone (possibly at the same time)
• Googling “how to survive the Unseelie Court” and liking the odds

If you like your fantasy wicked, your romances toxic but delicious, and your heart perpetually at risk—A Dance with Darkness will consume you whole.

And you’ll thank it for the bruises.

Dangerous Book Review: A Dance with Darkness by Jenna Wolfhart

I was sitting through Escapes complaining that either I’ve read (or listened) to just about every interesting sounding book or it sounded so boring. I don’t know what made me grab this as the cover is just okay and didn’t stop me in my tracks. Wow! I am so glad that I did. This was good. If your looking for sex and erotica you aren’t going to find it here. Romantic connections yes. This is more of a foundation to their story and yet it is still very captivating. Going on to book two now after binge listening all day.

Faelicious
