It's okay to have a few inner demons, right?

Devon has a problem, and it's not just that her stealth skill is stuck at three. Though that is an issue when it comes to sneaking up on...well, anything.

The real problem is that her former guildmate, Owen, is trapped in the demonic plane. Not just his in-game avatar. His mind is lost there too, leaving his real-life body in a coma. The only way to get him back, it seems, is to journey into the underworld and guide him back.

Shouldn't be a big deal - as long as she doesn't mind transforming into a demon herself.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Book four does not disappoint. Devan's adventures in and out of relic online continue to weave an intriguing narrative that has me coming back for more. excellent progression in the overall story while being it's own complete adventure.

With this book, Soundbooth Theater added some effects to the voices that made it very difficult to follow the story. There is a whispered conversation that is key to the story later on that I had to almost max out the volume to hear. Also, digital effects were added to some of the characters that made their dialogue very difficult to follow.

A+ Story, narrator misses the mark

I feel like the wrtier could take a bit more time fleshing out scenes and characters to give more depth to the world and characters. The conflicts feel kind of rushed and always trying to end each book on a happy note. Its okay to make a book a bit longer and maybe have a story arc extend to maybe more than 1 book with more details for the over arching story being revealed before the end of each book.

but since there are more books to listen to I cant really make an accurate concensus on writing until I finish the series.

performance is great. story seems rushed

The book (specifically the second half) will skip randomly and always in the same places. Nothing I do has fixed the issue and I don’t know if it is an issue with the audio book itself or audible. Otherwise the story is great, the voice acting and effects are amazing and overall I can’t wait for the next one (I have read all of the books when they came out on kindle)

Great book and performance annoying skipping issue

Another great addition to the story. The real-world story and the game story start to blend together more in this one, and I like it. Keep on keeping on Carrie Summers, you beautifully brilliant wordsmith!

Great, as always!
