So dark and twisted!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. Wow, these authors have written such a dark, twisted, and erotic mafia book. It will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. There is definitely a lot of character development. Cora is a naive, isolated, and abused woman. When she meets Marcus she thinks he will be her savior. Marcus is a man that you love to hate. He is ruthless and doesn't seem to know how to love. On their wedding night, Cora learns a devastating secret. Cora is forced to learn how to survive in a deadly world of revenge. This book does end in a cliffhanger, but the next two books in the trilogy are out. The narrator does an amazing job of portraying the emotions of these characters. He gives the characters distinctive voices and brings their story to life.

Not only was the story entertaining, the narrators voice was so sexy! Really really added to the dark and erotic tone of the story 😍😍😍

Enjoyable Mafia story

Overall I enjoy this story. I personally only gave this book 4 stars because I didn't feel that it was a dark romance and I really this the story could have been better told from both POV. This is a first book in a series and it did a great job getting you hooked into the story and wanting more. This does end in a cliffhanger and it leaves you with some good questions for book 2. I do think overall the narrator did a good job with this story and found it at enjoyable listen.

Jaw Dropping!!💜

This book was exciting & angsty and and I can’t wait for more!!
So many jaw dropping moments. At one point I was so physically moved, I felt my heart beat just a little faster. What a wonderful feeling that a book can move me in such a way that I felt it deep inside.
Unexpected twists and turns like a roller coaster!!
The narration was absolutely amazing. Jack Calihan really captured each character and nailed them perfectly.
I would definitely recommend this book/series!!
