Hilarious and engaging!

I first discovered Void Herold after coming accross the 'perfect run' series which has since become one of my FAVORITE series of ALL TIME. Thats saying ALOT because i both listen to and read books constantly. Just click on my name and look at the number of reviews i have just on audible to confirm the varied titles I've flown through. So i tried out a couple of his other series but nothing hit me quite like the perfect run did so i figured it might've been a one off or something but then i listened to this book and found that distinctive humor that could only be his again. Hes got this hilarious way about his dialogue and even descriptive narration that just kills me. We're hearing things from Vainqueur's perception so the narration misinterprets and misconstrues things constaly in the funniest way due to his arrogance or just plain stubborn denial. The best thing of all is its not just a funny story but also has a very engaging entertaining plot and fleshed out characters. This book is the full package and im really glad i found another series written in the same style as the perfect run. Maxime Durand is a magnificent genius!
Post script. I almost left out Jack Voraces, his job narrating this book was brilliant. At first i wasnt a fan of the synthesizing of the voice for different characters and species but after getting into the story i couldnt imagine it any other way. His voices for all the characters are perfectly fitting and his performance is flawless. Wonderfully produced work of art right here. Thank you for a very entertaining listen!

Awesometacular

This audiobook is beyond what I anticipated. The story of a egotistical dragon and a loser manling was more epic, crazy, and fun that I figured. The story is well contained, leaving the possibility of a sequel, not the demand. The reader, excellence and skill were great to hear. I recommend for anyone looking for a fun listen.

Real Dragon Depiction

Awesome 👍...after playing dungeons and dragons and seeing the pictures of Dragons and there hordes I finally get to read a novel about it. Great voice sounds with a synthesizer. Can't wait to read the second.

Enjoyable

I loved Durand’s Perfect Run series. This series is very different but still the same humor. I don’t enjoy it as much so far but still really good and look forward to continuing the series. Narration is very well done also.
