Publisher's summary

Ryan "Quicksave" Romano is an eccentric adventurer with a strange power: he can create a save-point in time and redo his life whenever he dies.

Arriving in New Rome, the glitzy capital of sin of a rebuilding Europe, he finds the city torn between mega-corporations, sponsored heroes, super-powered criminals, and true monsters. It's a time of chaos, where potions can grant the power to rule the world and dangers lurk everywhere.

Ryan sees many different routes, and from Hero to Villain, he has to try them all. Only then will he achieve his perfect ending...no matter how many loops it takes.

Almost didn’t buy, but glad I did.

Having read some of the negativity reviews I almost didn’t buy it, but now I have another series to earmark a credit for.

Good world building and character development without losing interest in exploring powers. I was originally worried that Ryan/Quick Save would be a jerk or tiresome, instead he became more interesting.

Acceptably ludicrous and engaging

I really enjoyed this book. The main character was a bit mad and it made him a lot more interesting to be with. There wasn't very many things he actually cared about so he kind of did whatever so long as he thought it would lead to the desired result. All in all the book had a really strong start and a respectable finish.

My absolute favorite aspect was that I understood how the MC got where he was and how his power shaped him as a person. A lot of books have a character who happens to have a super power, its mostly interchangable. In this book you really cant have the MC with a different ability, it just wouldnt work. Its a fundamental piece of who he is.

My second favorite thing was that he wasn't all powerful. Yes he did a lot of very difficult things and was very strong and dangerous but there were a few people he simply couldn't beat.

I only really had two issues. First was the portion of the book not from the main characters perspective. It was an admittedly important flash back that I found really boring. I just wasn't interested. I feel that section could have been pared down a lot. Or that the information could have been given some other way.

My other issue was that the narrator occasionally melded characters a little. It wasn't a huge issue throughout the book, but every now and then he would slip up and mix them.

love this story!

the story was great and characters actually felt like they mattered, and the main character had so much depth in him. above that it was also Hillarious with all the references and little comments. really made it feel like a well dressed deadpool!

Incredible, deserves a lot more attention !!

One of the most fun fictional books I’ve ever read, the characters, the world, the action is all so good!! I’m excited to read the next book in the series!

My favorite book of the year

What an amazing story that I never wanted to end, which is ironic seeing as how the main character goes back in time when he dies. it is so not like ground hog day and so well told that I loved it. although,, Ryan quick save romano, also known as ry ry, and a bunch of other names. So many many names. He uses alternate names for main characters quite often, I think to avoid having them listed a thousand times. it does take a little adjusting but it is well worth it I promise you.

You are in for a wild ride

I came into this series expecting a time traveler causing chaos and shenanigans.
As shown by all of interactions with ghoul, my expectations were met. What I was not expecting was to really see Ryan's loneliness and the entire process of making this a perfect run for everyone.

After this series I have decided to go and pick up all of the authors other published works. I would and did recommend this to all of my friends.

Fantastic books

The books are well written. The characters are great! The story is solid. The emotional beats get you in the feels, as they should. And they are laugh out loud funny. I had trouble turning it off to go to sleep.

Read all three books. Well worth the time!

Besides being masterfully narrated, this book starts a remarkably satisfying whirlwind of a story. Remarkably well paced and brimming with humor, horror, love and triumph, this book series has quickly made it to my personal favorites.

WTF did I just listen to?!

Imagine a world where suddenly people were given reality-defying super-powers. And completly in line with OUR world imagine how rapidly the whole thing would fall apart. How fast wars would start/end, millions would die, etc. Now jump several years past that event, and you are at the START of this book.

The MC can best be described as "deadpool with more morals and the ability/curse to be launched back in time everytime he dies." If that sounds wacky and zaney well you on the right track. Now imagine his entire purpose in life is finding a childhood friend he may or may not be in love with, but has no real idea where she is. Oh, and she is a communist. And his car is semi-sentient. And he has a pet eldritch horror.

At no point while listening to this book did I really have any idea what was going to happen next, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Before the first book ended, I had ordered books 2 and 3 because I just had to know how it was going to keep going.
