A short prequel that sets the tone for the trilogy.

This book is not contained in the Omnibus and must be purchased separately. The conflict begins: the AI and main characters in the story are introduced with a proper backstory. What I really liked about this story was the introduction to the AI/human consciousness bonded together and how he came to be in this position. Love was the catalyst and this statement is no spoiler.

interesting teaser for a prequel?

I finished the federation Chronicles box set and found this novella prequel. leaving us. wondering how did we get from this earnest young man to Harding prime? I guess we'll just have to wait and find out

Pay cash, too short to waste credit

it's a great start for the series however is too short to waste a credit. pay cash it was less than $3 when I bought it.

way too expensive for a 2 hour audiobook.

this book should be free or less than $2 since it is only 2 hours long.
