If you didn’t listen to Sidekick, you’ve gotta listen to that first. Trust me.

If you did...

Wow. Who saw that coming? I know I didn’t. As you know, I’m the Red Raptor. Now that things have...changed, I’ve asked my friend Amy to help tell the story. No, seriously, she’s just a friend. I mean - I guess if it were up to me? But...no.

Okay, so there’s a new threat - a bunch of punks called the Neon Knights. They’re causing mayhem, armed with some kind of plasma-photon-light weapons that I can’t even begin to understand, and as usual, I’ve gotta stop them.

However, this time I’ve got help. That’s right, I formed my own superteam. One for the ages.

But first, I’ve gotta do my shift at Big Frankie Junior’s. What? You like eating burgers, right? Well, someone has to cook them.

We can’t be heroes all the time.

From number one Audible best sellers Jaime Castle and CJ Valin comes the next installment from the best new superhero universe, perfect for fans of both DC and Marvel.

Actually, it’s for fans of anything superhero-related. You’re gonna like it. Promise.

Whether we have superhuman strength or powers that are the envy of millions, we are still people, with all of the flaws that go with it. That was my take-away from Book 2. And the story manages to weave it just so that we don’t hate the characters. But their likability takes a realistic hit, with pettiness, selfishness, envy and outright disregard for the feelings of potential love interests. Through it all, of course, the characters slowly grow.

Tired of being just sidekicks, Sawyer and Amy interview young superhero candidates with an eye towards creating their own supergroup. The talents are varied and even scary, and some folks have to leave disappointed. However, the candidates who are chosen - including Sawyer's buddy Javier - are eager to get to work. First, of course, comes training.
The team, calling themselves The Resistors, soon encounter a new team of evil bank-robbing superheroes, dubbed the Neon Knights, who have lots of powerful electronic tools in their arsenal and prove rather hard to beat.
Sawyer's suspicions that the school bully Logan is trying to break into a life of crime are confirmed when Logan replaces the Neon Knight that they put into the hospital..

The character of Osprey was almost unnecessary. The story would have moved faster without her.

The Story was mostly Red Raptor’s again, which was good but there should have been more teamwork since the title was Superteam!

Listen to the first book before this or not much would make sense.. it’s like watching a series and starting with the second season..This was better was better than the first.. plus the narrator giving Amy a voice I can dig it. Looking forward to the next book!!
