solid world building

it started out strong, then faltered through the middle, then just fell flat and obvious. Almost lost interest many times as the story progressed but had to know how it ended, then just came to be fairly disappointed with the ending

I love dystopian literature and this scratches that itch, while triggering new ones…as all the best science fiction does. It makes one thing of our system and I won’t ruin the mental journey by sharing my thoughts. Spoilers don’t need to be what happened, but what one thinks about when they listen or read or watch the best entertainment. The best entertainment, while entertaining, isn’t entertainment at all. These fables, these morality plays, are great fodder for thought, and I feel this falls into that category.

If a book makes me think and reconsider my perspectives, the author has done an excellent job. The narration is very comfortable and one doesn’t feel that jarring feeling when the narrator is in the role of the opposite gender…which can be a nasty distraction. Throughout, the characters have their own voices, cadences, and one can tell when each speaks without the dreaded “he said, she said, he said, she said…” that breaks up the dialogue.

I’d recommend this book for people of ages who have an understanding of the violent nature of the world. The novel doesn’t go into detailed torture or intimacy (nonconsensual or consensual, so a person who doesn’t know, won’t get what the violence was, just that it was violence), but does describe one on one battle violence, as well as well as murder of innocents. So, I write this so a parent can make a choice for a young person who is into this genre, as I was by ten…but the novels are violent, like reality. Recommend for all adults. It’s great entertainment and thought provoking.

This was good. It is swash buckling excitement. Politics r part and parcel of existence. Whether it is government politics or individual, it lives. I enjoyed the story and think u will too.

Enjoyable trilogy with realistic plot line.

I enjoyed this trilogy and the storyline. It keep my interest throughout and presented a cohesive and believable plot.
