I think Natasha wins for writing the most bad a$$ way to confront your cheating scum of a fiance! After Shelby discovers her fiance was cheating on her with his best friend Ace’s girlfriend, she leaves him at the altar and is devastated. But what do you do after your wedding is called off? Go on the honeymoon of course! And who better to take than the other person who was cheated on in this whole mess. Shelby and Ace have been friends for years so they think this could be lots of fun. I love how strong Shelby is to walk away from her wedding. She knows she deserves better, but when she finds better, she has trouble committing because of this past relationship. Ace is such a sweet hero that he is impossible not to love! This tropical island is going to bring all the heat and Shelby and Ace can’t escape from it. With this time to finally clear the air on certain things in the past, they find themselves closer than ever. But will Shelby be open to a new relationship so soon after her failed engagement?

The audio was flawless! I very much enjoyed this performance by Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose
Natasha wrote such a beautiful story. It was a very easy fast read and I didn’t want to put it down so I finished it very quickly! I haven't read the other stories in this series/family and it was still easy to follow but it definitely makes me want to catch up on the rest.

Well, hell, I am slightly annoyed with myself for taking so long to continue this series! I had this done in a afternoon. I loved everything about this book. I also truly adore a good friend to lovers trope and Natasha delivered this perfectly! Ace and Shelby were 100 percent meant for each other. Their friendship bonded them in a way that was soul deep. The Spice once it hit was chefs kiss and the massage..... dang! Just dang 🔥🫠. Don't you worry I am now plowing forward to the next book! I am loving these books!!!

The only annoying thing was how the author kept repeating the end of the previous chapter at the beginning of the next.

Wonderful best friends to lovers

It take a while for Shelby and Ace to get together but when they do, it's wonderful.
I'm looking forward to more about the other sisters. too. Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose were the best narrators for Ace and Shelby.

Cute story

I felt like I had a book slump coming on and I remembered I had this unread in my library so I picked it up. I feel like a good small town romance usually helps me through a slump, and this one did just that! First of all, Jacob Morgan can do no wrong when it comes to narrating romance novels. He’s incredible and I can’t imagine any other narrator playing this part. The story was quick and fun and super spicy, just what I was craving.
