TWO MEN WHO HATE EACH OTHER. ONE IMPOSSIBLE MISSION. A LEGEND IN THE MAKING.

A warrior with nothing to fight for is paired with a thieving assassin with nothing to lose. Together they must steal a treasure that no one can reach. The Crown Tower is the impregnable remains of the grandest fortress ever built and home to the realm’s most valuable possessions. But it isn’t gold or jewels the old wizard is after, and this prize can only be obtained by the combined talents of two remarkable men. Now if Arcadius can just keep Hadrian and Royce from killing each other, they just might succeed.

I love absolutely everything about this series. The narrator is amazing, and hearing the actors for Hadrian and Royce again just left me overall full of joy. I laughed out loud several times listening to them go back and forth, especially Hadrian. To see all of the little things falling into place from the original “Riyria Revelations” series was amazing. It’s got me excited for another listen through. If for some reason you’ve gotten this far and are still on the fence just do yourself a favor and at least add it to your list. you’ll be sorry if you don’t, for this series is truly a masterpiece.

The people complaining they were “lost” didn’t read in the intended order. These are “PREQUEL” books. Read the original first!

I listened to the original series and became OBSESSED with this world of characters. I’m so glad the author started writing more books about the main character’s origin adventures. I will listen to any and every book by this author!! I love the dramatic version as it helps me keep the characters straight while having fun being immersed in the story. It can get a little intense but no more than an action film. Great books, great production, a must listen!!

Absolutely LOVE

I adored the performance of the actors. It made me buy the next one. The actors portraying Royce and Hadrian made me LOL more than once.

The narration sounds like the actor sees a comma rather than a period at the end of a sentence more often than not. (i.e "It felt like a horse fell on him. Oh, right," vs. It felt like a horse fell on him. Oh, right.") This got better, but was a bit distracting.

Amazing portrayal of Riyria

The dramatization adds an immersion to the story that made me want to continue with the stories from the author and world that they created. The voice acting is good and improved as the story progressed.

The graphic audio really brings the story to life.

Not sure about the voice for Hadrian-- he sounds too old-- but this is a fun listen!

Fun!
