I enjoyed the book, but there's some simple continuity issues that stand out if you read the books one after the other, like how can his pet use his shadow powers in book one, but then has to hide under leaves because he can't use any hiding skills in book two. still it was an enjoyable listen. Also I could do without how npc's get all fawny after one good deed, "oh your friends with the mc, well here let me just give you a priceless artifact for $20 bucks"
