Forbidden Crush!

This is such a good start to the "Wild Texas Hearts" series. It is a stand alone read. I love the characters and the plot is interesting and kind of intriguing. It is a fairly short and quick read/listen. This is the story of Walker and Emmaline. This is an age gap romance between a professor and his student. Such interesting developments in this story. I love Walker and Emmaline. They are blazing hot together.

Veterinarians we are talking and nothing says comfort like bonding over animals. Spending time training on a farm will bring you closer together. I recommend this story. Narration was great!

Covering Plenty of Forbidden Ground

I love how this starts with Dr. Walker Rhodes, DVM spelling out his crush on the nearly minted doctor, Emmaline "Emma" Phillips. Their mutual attraction may be forbidden, but it sure is hot!

This turned out to be a really good palate cleanser. The chemistry was sparking, the angst was mild, the dirty deeds were sizzling, and the setups for the rest of the series were pretty much lined up. I liked getting to know Walker and those he cared about, and I'm looking forward to more of these characters.

I received an author's copy of the audio book that I listened to alongside reading my book. The narrators are Jack Calihan and Isabelle Turner. I've enjoyed listening to Jack several times, and this was no exception. As for Isabelle, it was the first time I think I've listened to her, and I liked her.

This was such a cute spicy little introduction to the small ranching town of Wild Heart, Texas. It took a turn that I honestly wasn’t expecting but loved. Walker is the big animal vet and vet professor at the local college in Wild Heart and he’s had a crush of Emmaline since the moment she stepped foot in his class. She’s off limits though, obviously, which she’s his student. But hours after graduation, the switch has flipped and she’s no longer off limits. Until they both get a call Monday morning from the college sending each of them blindly right towards each other making them off limits once again. She needs practical hours to be able to apply for a vet license, and her advisor pulls a personal favor from him to take on an intern for the Summer.

This was a first of Isabel’s and Jack’s narrations that I’ve listened to but I was pleased with their performances. I look forward to hearing more from them in the future!
