The story has gotten better!

I have grown to like this story even more. The overly formal aspects are softening some with Mengfei, Tianyi and Daoyi which is VERY refreshing! I can understand that the useless formality is a part of the culture… however, the relationships of family and fellow disciples can’t be that bad can it…? I’m hoping it wasn’t.
So the deepening of the shallow interrelationships between Daoyi, Tianyi and even Rei is really awesome!
Now, the story has gotten even more interesting! Getting to understand more of the Heaven Continent’s Sects and politics was pretty cool.
I also loved the surprise of the Immortals’ showdown. Getting to see some of the other major players was a treat and a half. Then learned how Immortal Emperors/Empresses handles conflict by going to the Void answered some questions. I wish for more fighting with Mengfei but… yeah…
Getting to see Tianyi lay the smack down is pretty epic!

The biggest letdown was lack of improvement for Tianyi. There are only some small abstract aspects. Though the clone was hilarious!

Lovespot and Redseal getting at least some punishment FINALLY, was BEYOND enjoyable! Though I think the disgusting and vile monster should have received some FAR WORSE than what he got. Death at the lowest. Some kind of eternal punishment of a “supernatural” aspect would have been even better! I know it is historically accurate how women were viewed… yeah, not going there.
Then Redseal and the other monsters who chose to ignore or even cover it up…

I’m looking forward to them getting more comeuppance!

I am hoping for some more actual cultivation for the next book. But either way, I’m enjoying this series regardless of the few issues!

Love the high, thoughtful intelligence of the MC and supporting cast as well as the 'villains' that you just fervently wish to see receive their just ends. Well done, thirsty for more!!

I really do like this series

this was quite a surprise for me when I first came across this series. for me this is an easy recommend. this being the third book I fully expect that anybody coming across my review already knows what they're in for and I'm just here to tell you that book numbers three is just as good. the writing is top notch and the performance from the narration is top notch. really well done and keep up the good work to everybody who had it handed bringing the story to us, the audible listeners.
