Publisher's summary

When Kers is reborn as a dungeon core, he finds himself stuck in the most improbable of places: a cloud. High in the sky and far away from the usual solid resources, Kers must face the obvious question: How is a dungeon to build itself without wood or stone?

Luckily, Kers has the sarcastic (and sometimes helpful) fairy Selena to help him get his bearings. Together, the pair delight in exploring Kers’ weird existence, creating novel mobs, and enticing adventures to plumb the lofty heights of his floors.

After all, with vicious yet fluffy snow leopards, infuriating pink slimes, and some sharks with freakin' energy beams, what’s not to love? Everything seems to be falling into place.

That is, until the other dungeons—each with their own unique resources and machinations—also take an interest in Kers. He soon finds himself with strange new friends and dangerous new foes.

After all, the Adventures Guild does not take kindly to "irregular" dungeons....

Forced to fight, Kers must use every advantage his unique situation grants him if he and his new family are to survive this second chance at life.

ouch...

Story was going really good until isekai is brought up. Fairy talks and acts like she lived on earth, but immediately says fairies can't go to Earth even though it's clear they have.

pretty standard

the fluff and trimmings are fancy and new, but the meat is pretty standard dungeon core...

still it's damned well written and everything is fun and interesting

Ker

The story itself was very enjoyable. I thought the characters and the situations they were put into brought the story line together.

better than bone dungeon

This book does a few things better than the other "trapped as a dungeon" imo. The largest part of those other books I dislike is how childish the fairy and/or the dungeon is. I get that the dungeon is new, and has to not know anything about being a dungeon, but some of the other books have the dungeon as a complete idiot and I can't stand those. Second, this book had some genuinely creative concepts, monsters, and magic, I don't want to spoil anything so just check it out for yourself.

Really fun listen

I've listened to plenty of dungeon core books, and this avoided more than a few annoying tropes common in the genre. I really enjoyed this, especially the second half, and plan to continue the series as I'm able. Soundbooth knocked it out of the park, as always.

Wow

I absolutely loved it. The characters were amusing, the interactions between the dungeon monsters, the lore is intriguing, and my favorite part, the voice acting made each character come to life and easily recognizable.

Good listen!

Soundbooth theatre once again impresses with their cast of all star narrators and voice actors. The story was excellent, establishing early that this is not a typical dungeon. Author clearly has a well thought out world with history, culture, and politics. The dungeon system was slightly new with its own flavor and polish. Look forward to the sequel so I can hear more about “the weird one” :)

This was a fun book.

I really enjoyed the main body of this book it threw different dungeon core concepts that it felt like a different book not just another core book which was nice. The characters interplay while at some points predictable left the individual characters to stand on their own as well. I definitely look forward to checking out the next book and thid would definitely a highly recommended book to read.

Good story. Weird obsession with vocab words

It’s a good book. Liked the story.
But what’s with the vocab? It’s like they tried to pick the least used words in the dictionary.

I’m not sure why I need to know when someone had a damaged coxis or when they start pulling rancor instead of agro. (why did they stop using agro?)
Instead of bifurcated why not just say it split.

It creates weird and confusing moments in the book like when a hero has a queer moment (something strange happened) or when a heroine is caught playing with her thong. (a small leather strap for a cape.)

And why ROYGBIV goats?
Not multicolor, not rainbow, but actually writing ROY-G-BIV.

Synonyms are great, maybe just don’t go off the deep end.
