For Olgerd, the month in recovery which followed his month-long full immersion stint in Mirror World may have felt like a single day. But while he relaxed in the bosom of his loving family, in-game events progressed in leaps and bounds.

The clans of both Light and Dark continue their lightning expansion into No-Man's Lands. Reports of violent clashes between clan scouts—both with other contestants and local top-level monsters—fill the pages of game and multimedia news feeds as everyone is trying to win the juiciest morsels of these new territories for themselves.

Olgerd knows that the Dark players still have a grudge against him—and that their rickety truce with the players of Light might be broken at any moment. Then the valleys of the Silver Mountains will fall prey to new invaders.

Olgerd needs to help the Calteans mount defenses for their new settlement. Which means it's time for him to get back into the game.

I loved the series, but in the final book, the narrator changed and completely changed the feel of it. whoever decided to change that should be reprimanded.

new narrator is awful

this is a great series and the author continues the story well. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to find out what happens in the next one!

great addition to the series!

First off, I didn't re-listen to the first three books even though I last did so 5 years ago. Because this is the start to a nee arc, and there were a reasonable number of references to the history if the series throughout the book, I didn't feel like I needed to.

Because I didn't listen to the prior 3 books after so long, I enjoyed the change in narrator, as Johnathan Sleep is really good and actually fit pretty well with the slightly stilted tone of the translation.

I enjoyed this continuation, though it has definitely taken a different turn from the rest of the series because the MC is mostly dealing with clan management as opposed to personal work and exploration. I enjoyed the unfolding of the story, and look forward to the next book coming out on Audible.

Glad the series continued on Audible!

So the narrator change wasn't great. I don't know what led to a different narrator, but at this rate, just change it again. The current narrator is doesn't have the same flow as the last.

Other than that, the story wasn't bad, but I hope the next has a bit less city builder and more adventure.

City builder and airy narrator
