Lucy, Viktor, and a Monster Love Story I Didn’t Know I Needed

Lucy comes into this story freshly cheated on, jobless, and kicked out of her apartment, basically at rock bottom with no family or friends to lean on. But here’s what I absolutely loved: she never once lost herself. Lucy is wildly self-aware of her strengths, her quirks, her whole vibe… and she owns every bit of it. She wasn’t looking to change for anyone. She just wanted the right person (or monster) to enjoy life with, and honestly? Goals.

Viktor is a reanimated Frankenstein inspired centuries old, wealthy, a little dark, and semi recluse character. But with Lucy? He is the sweetest cinnamon roll while also having that possessive, protective energy that just works.

But my absolute FAVORITE part? Lucy saves her man. She’s the hero of her own story & his, and I am here for it. My only wish is that we’d gotten a few more chapters of Lucy putting those years of fighting lessons to use, because she’s clearly a total badass and I wanted to see it.
