Uncovering long-held family secrets may sting at first—but the result can be sweeter than honey

Beekeeper Beckett Walsh is living her dream, working alongside her father in their apiary, until his untimely death sends her world into a tailspin. She suddenly finds she must deal with a new part owner of the family business—one who is looking to sell the property. Beck cannot fathom why her father would put her into the position to lose everything they built together.

When Callie Peterson is named in the trust of a man she's never heard of, she's not sure what to do. Her fledgling business has just taken wing and her mother has reentered her life asking for help getting into rehab for her lifelong substance abuse issues, making Callie's financial situation rather . . . precarious. She's sure she has no right to someone else's farm, but the money from the sale could solve her problems and give her the stability she's always craved.

As these two women navigate their present conundrum, they will discover a complex and entangled past full of secrets—and the potential for a brighter future for both of them.

An easy clean listen. Well read and enjoyed the story. Also, loved the talk of bees!

Very sweet story

It was very well researched regarding bees and therapies. The analogies with bees was good. It was very thought provoking: what would be my response if I had been either of the girls. Would be excellent book club choice as so much to discuss and think about. Some might be put off by inclusion of God and Jesus which I wasn’t expecting but was ok with. Very interesting issues addressed in a well done story.

It should also be labeled Christian

I'm a former beekeeper which is why I picked up this story. I didn't particularly like this. Fat too much women's angst, typical romance siblings and was quite a bit preachy at times. I'll never get those hours back again. Narrator did a decent job. The kid was surprisingly the best character!

Nit much about beekeeping

I never expected this book to be so great, but I was hooked from the very beginning and didn’t want to stop listening for a minute. It’s full of suspense, betrayal, forgiveness, and learning things that don’t seem to make any sense at all. You’ll even learn a lot about these in the in the Process of reading this book.

Wonderful all around

The book was very predictable, dealt with themes of addiction, parental, alienation, or loss, struggles of young women, divorce, and friendship.

These are all worthy subjects. But the level of the book is not adult level

Predictable and geared toward young adult level
