Publisher's summary

Gwendolyn Mary Darling Carlisle's young life has been a saga of misfortune.

After a tragic accident unexpectedly took her parents, Gwen found herself the sole caregiver for her ailing sister. It's her eighteenth birthday, but with responsibilities weighing heavy, she struggles to find something worth celebrating. Everything in her life has fallen apart. That is until she finds a mysterious man in her bedroom.

Peter Pan has returned to the Darling estate. The boy from Neverland, who refused to grow up, has, in fact, grown into an alluring man. It's time for spring cleaning, and he's determined to bring a descendant of Wendy's back to Neverland with him.

Gwen is swept off her feet and across the veil to be engulfed in a fantastical world of mermaids, Fae, and Peter's new band of Lost Boys. As she gives herself over to the wonder of Neverland and the affections of Peter and his Lost Boys, she finds herself living out hedonistic fantasies that she could have only ever dreamed about.

But not everything is as it seems in Neverland. Her memories of home and her beloved sister are fading. A treasured family heirloom, a locket with its own ties to Neverland, is the only tether to the sister she left behind and the life she is obligated to return to. The fairytales she'd heard as a child only hinted at the truth. Neverland bears some dark secrets.

loved the story, not a fan of the voice.

loved the story, was not a fan of the voice. Would love to have multiple voices - for three male & female characters.

I loved it!!! I enjoyed all of the thought the author put in the small details of the story. Great story to read around the holiday season. Starting the second book immediately!

AMAZING

I loved the book to begin with but now with the audio book it's more amazing I could not stop. the range of emotion from the narrators brought me more into the story. it's a master piece. I can wait for the next audio books.

Lots of Sex, group sex and BDSM

I love smut, but this was beyond that. Gwen is just a little too much of a slut to say the least, lol. I do like the mystery of Hook possibly being the good guy here though. If the next book is strictly a monogamous relationship with Hook I’d probably enjoy it more.

Great men, sappy protagonist but second book gets better

Enjoy the book for the romance it is…and don’t miss book #2 and 3

Overall enjoyable

I recently participated in a buddy read of this book, and as a fan of Peter Pan and retellings, I was really looking forward to diving into this series. Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable read, but there were a few aspects that didn't quite sit right with me. The main female character really got on my nerves throughout the entire book, especially towards the end. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice that it felt a bit too similar to the Vicious Lost Boys series, albeit in a softer version. On a positive note, I did appreciate the novella, and I was hoping for a similar vibe in the main book, but unfortunately, that didn't quite come across. On the bright side, I absolutely loved the portrayal of Peter and the Lost Boys. I thoroughly enjoyed the vividly described atmosphere, which really transported me into the story. That was definitely my favorite aspect of the book. The ending managed to redeem the book for me, finally injecting some much-needed excitement into the story. I had a feeling things were about to heat up when Tiger Lily made an appearance. Consequently, I raised my initial 3-star rating to a 4-star rating. I'm still looking forward to continuing with this series despite my reservations about certain aspects of the first book.
