Did not live up to the hype

I had to give this book a chance after seeing it all over bookstagram.

I was really interested in the storyline that started, but the MMC was really just a college jerk and not the manly figure I was expecting.

While the narrators did a great job, the story is slow and repetitive so I found I kept turning the rate up to make it through the book. If it had not been for the audio I would have DNF’d d at about 20%.

A lot of people say the story is dark and twisty. It was really just another bully romance with no new twists on the trope. The ending was rushed and all of the big reveals were obvious prior due to character setup.

Love this author. So good. This dark romance has everything. Greyson is the perfect anti hero

College Bully Romance

Violet is in college with her best friend. She is very good at ballet. She is in a bad car accident.
Grayson is the guy that hit her and ends up at her university. He thinks she tried to ruin his dream career. He takes his anger out on her.
Violet and Grayson battle it out. She is not a simpering wimp and he doesn't take it easy on her.
Narration is perfection. The story is page-turning and I finished it within a day and a half. There are a few triggers involved so beware. One of the top 5 I have read this year.

Psycho but entertaining

I didn’t really care for the psycho elements of the book. (Spoiler alert: they are both psycho and need lots of therapy) There was also too many “villains” and it’s all too unrealistic. I listened to the whole book because I had to know who was behind everything, but overall would not recommend this book. I gave 3 stars because it kept me engaged, but I have a hard time believing any woman would be ok with this kind of relationship.

Brutal Obsession (College Bully Romance)

Brutal Obsession is a dark college bully romance staring Greyson and Violet Reece. I found the beginning very intriguing. Secrets ripple through the pages. Dark and twisty listen with a anti-hero.

Teddy Hamilton, Heather Firth dual narration brought the characters emotions to play. Both narrators inflections are easy to listen.

It was hard for me to finish..

I did not like the story line, and it was hard for me to finish this book.
I didn't like that he was too brutal with her when he supposvly obsessed with her and loves her.

The narrative of the male was soo good... , but it because of Teddy Hamilton... The female was OK..

On the edge of my seat the whole time

The suspense is this book was perfect! I loved how the relationship developed between Grayson and violet. Loved the book, can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Obsessed!!!

Not the biggest fan of TH but I was still able to enjoy! Female narrator was fantastic!
Some of the violence was a little much for me although the nickname was cute lol🙃

Brutal Obsession is the perfect title

Brutal Obsession is exactly like the title says. This couple and their relationship was brutal but yet the obsession so strong they just couldn't leave each other alone. I normally enjoy a dark bully romance but Grayson was just a bit too much for me. For 3/4 of the book the exchanges between the couple had me questioning how they could possibly redeem everything. Then it all just clicked and I ended up enjoying the last part of their book. The bit of suspense was a nice addition and kept me intrigued throughout the story. Overall I liked it but there were a few moments where I was definitely questioning continuing.

not for me

I didn't get very far in this. I know this is just my preference and I have a love /hate relationship with dark romance. maybe I keep choosing the wrong books, but WHY does it seem like the FMC are just plain stupid. she is portrayed as very intelligent. then continues to make the most idiotic choices. that is what bothers me the most.
