Didn’t expect that!

Better than the previous books! I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next book.

Haven't been so happy with a book in a long time. love the direction the series is going.

Great book lots of growth and progress. As always the narrator does an amazing job

amazing story

absolutely wonderful world building, and action scenes that get the heart pumping. could have done without the random romance that amounted to nothing in the end of story. sure the romance could come into play in later books, but why waste time with romance when you could spend that time with showing off the world, contemplating the gods, trying to figure out their glyphs, having fun with the interactions between the main characters, and looking into the trees (of spoilers).

the only saving grace is that the romance takes up only around 30mins to get through. which is not a lot sure but that time could have been put to better use, than inserting a quarter baked romance that had no reason to be there. this series obviously marketed to an older audience. an older audience that is here for the world, the action, the mystery, and the magic. not for young adults that barely know each other halfway through the story. having a date in a city that is being overrun by evil forces.

Overall 8/10 would have been 7 but hump is such a great character that he deserves a point just for himself.
