Warm beds, quaint mysteries, and the best rosemary bread this side of Pigsend Creek. Welcome to the Weary Dragon Inn.

Bev may not know who she was before she showed up in the quaint village of Pigsend five years ago, but that doesn't bother her much. She's made a tidy little life for herself as the proprietor of the Weary Dragon Inn, where the most notable event is when she makes her famous rosemary bread. But when earthquakes and sinkholes start appearing all over town, including near Bev's front door, she's got to put on her sleuthing hat to figure out what—or who—might be causing them before the entire town disappears.

Drinks and Sinkholes is the first book in the Weary Dragon Inn Series, a cozy fantasy by two-time award-winning author S. Usher Evans.

"Cozy" is the word for this amusing tale, and narrator Deborah Balm's voice is the perfect compliment. The prequal, Ale and Amnesia, fills readers in on how Bev came to Pigsend and ownership of the Weary Dragon Inn. I, like many readers (listeners) I'd expect, hoped the Rosemary bread recipe would be shared, but alas it wasn't. I'm told it may be found in the The Pobyd Perfections Bakery Series, which I'm onto next. Recommend for a relaxing, engaging winter read.

Charming, enjoyable book with lovely narrator

I just wanted an easy story, but this book both in form and content is not for adults. If you have a child age 7 to 12ish, this might be a good fit. Not recommended for adults

A book for children
