Story
On the battlefields of the future, death is not the end for a soldier. The Revenant Program collects badly wounded soldiers broken by war and converts them into unthinking, unfeeling cyborg weapons. Their bodies are immune to pain, their minds impervious to fear and doubt. All controlled by a neural implant called the Imperative. They are the ideal force for any mission too deadly or too difficult for normal men. A force that answers to the darkest corners of the military.

Daniel Clay fought across the galaxy as a corporate soldier. He left the violence behind for a life of science, raising a family far from the bloodshed of the Corporation. James Sutton was an average guy—he couldn’t afford college and didn’t really know what he wanted to do with his life. But when his sister Holly goes missing, he finds out he’s been living in a fantasy: An alien really did land in Roswell and the US has had a secret alliance with them ever since. They are symbiotes—capable of bonding with hosts, enhancing their strength, agility, and stamina. Now mankind finds itself in the middle of an alien civil war between two symbiote factions—those who would be our allies…and those who would subjugate us into slavery.

The USS Jefferson was destroyed en route, though, and only Mathison and three other marines survived. Trapped in stasis, they were hurled into the outer reaches of the solar system, where they wouldn’t be found for hundreds of years.

Ben Dailey's Viper Company has one motto: Play hard and fight even harder. The crew is comprised of some of the most elite fighters in the Fleet, though occasionally overconfident and, some might say, obnoxious. So when Dailey is handed down a mysterious, high-security mission that's ostensibly a search-and-rescue for his once-upon-a-time academy rival turned brother in arms, he's convinced there's more to the job than meets the eye. Soon, the USF Murphy is on its way to the edge of the Void to track down what happened to Capt. Rick Bearing and the Asher-5.

Publisher's summary
A young hero journeys beyond the edge of the known universe in a desperate bid to save the galaxy from the powers of evil.
David Artan is a dock rat on a poor fringe world where he takes every job he can and prize-fights to earn enough money to get off world. When he's hired to guide a boat crewed by an interstellar mafia, he comes face to face with an ancient power—the Veil—that was pivotal to a civil war that ended decades ago.
David is "attuned" to this power and was almost killed by agents of the dead and defeated Tyrant who nearly enslaved the galaxy. He's rescued by an Adept of the Paragon order, warrior scholars that study the power and seek to keep any from upsetting the balance that keeps all life in order.
David is given the chance to journey beyond the Veil and into another dimension where he can claim a stone of immense power and return it to base reality to wield it as a weapon against the Tyrant. The world beyond the Veil is nothing like what David knows, and he'll be opposed by insidious evil, self-doubt, and sabotage from the very people who are supposed to help him.
While beyond the Veil, David learns that a Conjunction is nigh, an event that could sunder the galaxy if evil forces succeed. David must claim a Veil stone deep in the other dimension before the Tyrant's agents can beat him to the prize.

Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

Story
Ben Dailey's Viper Company has one motto: Play hard and fight even harder. The crew is comprised of some of the most elite fighters in the Fleet, though occasionally overconfident and, some might say, obnoxious. So when Dailey is handed down a mysterious, high-security mission that's ostensibly a search-and-rescue for his once-upon-a-time academy rival turned brother in arms, he's convinced there's more to the job than meets the eye. Soon, the USF Murphy is on its way to the edge of the Void to track down what happened to Capt. Rick Bearing and the Asher-5.

Story
For generations, we colonized worlds, and the human race spread throughout the galaxy. One discovery could end it all. They called the ship Lady Vengence, and her Captain, Gavin Andal, was young, a bit arrogant, and the perfect fit for a bunch of misfits more interested in shore leave than work. Nobody was interested in being a hero. Sometimes there's no choice.

Story
In a world of criminals, thugs, con artists, cheats, and swindlers, there must be a man to stand against the powers of darkness and corruption. A man not afraid to walk the mean streets—whether they be those of 1930s Los Angeles, an ancient fantasy realm, or some far-flung planet of a future star empire. He is a man who knows that a “good man” is not always a “nice guy”. But when the chips are down, he understands that a hero does the right thing, even if it means losing everything.

Story
From the pulpy pages of Black Mask Magazine in the 1920s and '30s, through the film noir era of the 1940s, to today, noir fiction has lured many a reader and movie-goer away from the light and into the dark underbelly of society. Names such as Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, and James M. Cain; titles like The Big Sleep, The Maltese Falcon, The Postman Always Rings Twice...these have inhabited our collective consciousness for decades. Humanity, it seems, loves the dark. And within the dark, one figure stands out: that of the femme fatale.

They were the Savages. Raiders from our distant past. Elites who left Earth to create tailor-made utopias aboard the massive lighthuggers that crawled through the darkness between the stars. But the people they left behind on a dying planet didn't perish in the dystopian nightmare the Savages had themselves created: they thrived, discovering faster-than-light technology and using it to colonize the galaxy ahead of the Savages, forming fantastic new civilizations that surpassed the wildest dreams of Old Earth.

Geary believed in the Alliance. Even when he uncovered overwhelming evidence that the highest echelons of the government and fleet command were involved in secret programs and prison camps, he believed it was worth saving. He believed his duty was to see that justice was served even though some factions feared that revealing the truth would cause the Alliance to crumble. But after narrowly surviving two assassination attempts when he brings evidence of the misdeeds to the capital star system, Geary realizes that some want to get rid of him.

Reminiscent of SW and Battle Beyond the Stars, but written better. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride. I’m looking forward to the sequel. It’s worth the time.

Another great Richard Fox series
I'm not quite done yet with the book, but so far I've really been enjoying it. I haven't found a single book so far by this author that I haven't liked. The only bad remarks I have is the audio production isn't as easy to listen to as most. I listen in the car using speakers because I don't like wearing ear buds while driving. The audio goes up and down from the narrator as he does the characters. Sometimes it's very difficult to hear him depending on the character voices he's doing. Other than that I would recommend this series.

Terrific!!
Space Mafia & magic! Finally a scifi book with a twist. Richard Fox's "Tyr" series was excellent but I think this Tops it! He is an incredible author & his story telling & world building is amazing. Especially since the "GE" universe is taking a nose dive in my opinion, and very unfortunate.
Please keep this series coming Mr. Fox!!
