Are Your Employees Entitled or Engaged?

In this follow-up to the entrepreneurial fable Get A Grip by Gino Wickman and Mike Paton, Vic and Eileen have been running successfully on EOS® (The Entrepreneurial Operating System®) for several years at Swan Services. They feel the traction EOS has on their company, they have their priorities straight, and the leadership team is aligned on the vision.

However, when Vic and Eileen evaluate their company as a whole, they see a disconnect between their vision and the employees, who aren’t connected to the vision. They notice a misalignment between what they do every day and the company’s vision. Vic and Eileen realize they lack employees who are “ownership thinkers.” Instead, their workforce has shifted to expecting the company to give them bonuses and reward them for just showing up to work.

Frustrated by the entitlement mentality and disengagement of their employees, Vic and Eileen implement the ProfitWorks Solution®. Can they create the culture they envision?

Stretch not Snap is a fable, but the ProfitWorks Solution is very real and has helped hundreds of companies create cultures of employees who think and act like owners. This real-world story will resonate with entrepreneurial leaders.

Learn how to:

  • Discover your employees’ untapped potential
  • Create a company of ownership thinkers
  • Get your company’s vision shared by all

Create the business of your dreams—starting today.

Love this book. As an executive for over 20+ years, I had never heard of the “Stretch not Snap” rubber band metaphor. I love this simple approach to creating an incentive plan that everyone can wrap their heads around. I see some parallels from other great business books, such as The Great Game of Business.
This is a must read for any leadership team who struggles with how to properly (and fairly) pay bonuses. Bonuses should be part of an incentive plan, not a disincentive plan.
