The weakest of the series

I was really looking forward to book five but it was a real slog to get through. The Daily Grind is the same ole same ole.
I was hoping they would follow the other character from the last book who went back to her dungeon with the roads, etc.

Instead of dungeon exploration we get mainly administrative tasks, several inner monologues as various characters ponder their existence.
When JD was taken to NY by the FBI to help investigate financial crimes, I was hoping we might follow the character and get a little change of scenery.

I ended up DNF'ing with only three hours left, I just couldn't push myself to care any longer. I doubt I will listen to any additional books in the series.

Great story and Characters

Loved the trio and friends. Secret =( such a big cliff hanger at the end there. Is there more coming?

the ending

The ending kept on dragging. after the huge battle scene I just wanted the book to end. however the epilogue would have added another hour so I just stopped listening.

The whole series has been great. Although I think there were many missed chances to maximize gains that the character could have taken.
