About this listen
Written in an accessible style for all audiences, “How AI Will Shape Our Future” anchors listeners in the history and evolution of Artificial Intelligence, laying the groundwork for a deeper understanding of its trajectory. This equips listeners to engage more thoughtfully with the book’s central theme: What should societies expect from AI in the decades ahead?
How does AI actually function? What will its impact be on employment and education, both short-term and long-term? How will AI reshape society, the economy, government, culture, and geopolitics? What are the potential utopian and dystopian outcomes, and who will be most affected? What’s happening with China and the intensifying AI arms race? Could synthetic biology lead to human-cyborg coexistence, ultimately influencing human evolution? Most critically, what should we demand of our leaders today to prepare for AI’s inevitable advancement?
These are just some of the provocative questions explored and answered by Pedro Uria-Recio, a former McKinsey consultant and Chief AI Officer who has spent years working with this transformative technology on a global scale.
Whether you're a technologist or a homemaker, a businessperson or a student, a voter or a policymaker, or simply curious about humanity’s future, “How AI Will Shape Our Future” offers essential insights for navigating the complexities of AI.

Women have more challenges when it comes to leadership roles with gender bias being one of the biggest hurdles. Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Completely Captivating and Scary
Wow, what an incredible audiobook! The narrator's voice pulls you right into this mind-blowing exploration of artificial intelligence. I was completely captivated from the first chapter. The author breaks down complex tech concepts into digestible chunks that even a non-expert can understand.
I'll be honest—I was a little scared of some of the future outlooks for AI the book presented. The potential scenarios about technology's transformative power were both fascinating and unsettling. Despite my apprehension, every section feels like a thrilling journey through potential AI futures.
The performance is crisp and engaging, making technical details feel like a gripping story. I found myself pausing repeatedly to absorb the profound insights about technology's impact on our world. Whether you're a tech enthusiast or just curious about AI, this audiobook is an absolute must-listen. Prepare to have your mind expanded!

Exciting and Scary at the same time
The the I loved most about this book is that it did not shy away about the positives ai can bring to our world but also the negative things such as unemployment. It was also really thought proving as it talked about other topics such as mind projecting and immortality and it really makes you think about just how far this ai thing can go. However things shake out, I certainly feel more prepared.

This audiobook is a fascinating listen that really dives into the world of artificial intelligence and its impact on our lives. It covers everything from the history of AI to what we might expect in the future, breaking down complex ideas into digestible bits. The real standout for me was how it balanced the potential benefits and challenges that come with this technology, sparking a lot of thoughts about what’s next for society.
It’s perfect for anyone looking to understand the big picture without getting bogged down in jargon. Plus, the way the information is presented feels super engaging. And just a heads-up—the narrator’s voice is smooth and soothing, making it feel like a late-night conversation rather than a lecture.
