I can get any woman I want… and I do.
So why is the one woman who is completely off-limits knocking on my door?
Someone (my meddling brothers) told her I'm the love guru.
And she wants lessons in falling in love.
Just not with me.

Penelope is curvy, sassy, and my brother's fiancée's best friend. Totally forbidden fruit. But when she asks for dating lessons, I'm suddenly fumbling like a rookie.

I thought love was supposed to hit like a linebacker—fast and hard. Instead, it's a slow burn that's got me breaking all my own rules.

Somehow, I've got to tackle this problem without getting sacked by my overprotective brother.

Oh, and there's an anaconda loose in my house. Because clearly what this situation needs is more complications.

This sports romance features a super-supportive cinnamon roll football player who thought he knew it all when it came to love, a plus-size heroine who will school him while finally learning to love herself, and that Bridgertons-meets-American-Football family that'll have you wishing you were a Kingman… or a Kingman's Queen.

This author had me before, but this one had me rolling and definitely falling in love with this couple. The author definitely puts the positivity to the fluffier ladies and showing body positivity is an amazing thing. But that Mummy quote though…..

She had me before but now I’m hooked!!

I love the message of this book. Loving yourself exactly as you are is absolutely essential. 5 STARS! I just feel like we beat it to death. I really wanted something different with these characters. I love that all the supporting characters rallied around them, but also felt that these two really deserved an epic love adventure with a little body positivity thrown in. The humor was lacking in this book as well because the animal element was lacking until the very end when the staring snake FINALLY gets a cool name. I liked it, but not as much as the first 3 in the series.

Crusade to body positivity

Slowly getting through this series and firmly believe that the cocky Kingman’s are the balm in waiting for the next season of bridgerton. In love with the plus size representation and the accurate vision of Denver, Colorado in a different dimension. This series is the amount of romance, spice and everyday life. I am patiently waiting and hoping for the tv adaptation of this series so I can listen to Kelsey Best songs in real life.

No spoilers, but I was kinda hoping Simone’s band would win something at the Grambees. I know we’re all about fat people here but I’d love a segway for her in another book. The patriarchy needs more critique and I think an arc for her might be interesting. Otherwise this book was really fun!

Awesome Story

I love this series and the messages about body positivity, but this book was a bit much for me this time. We all have insecurities, some more than others, but I felt like that was the only plot point for Penelope. (Like she was missing character development outside of being insecure) I did like that this story was simultaneous with Hayes & Willa’s storyline so it felt like we got behind the scenes info. Overall, it’s a sweet story and another HEA ending but it was a bit cringy for me this go around. The next one sounds exciting though. The voice actors were great, per usual.
