From her earliest days, Mary Magdalene has known fear and loss at a level so deep she has no hope of surfacing. Bound to the demons within her and incapable of freeing herself, Mary walks in shadow—until one day she encounters a healer, a rabbi who is radically different from the religious leaders and family members who could do nothing to help her. One touch from Jesus and Mary is never the same.

Now Mary's one mission in life is to serve the one who freed her. She is determined never to leave his side, fearing that if she loses him, she'll return to her former bondage. Even when the unthinkable happens and her savior is arrested and sentenced to execution, she cannot abandon him as so many others did. Let her be buried in his tomb, for she cannot live without him.

On the brink of despair, Mary is about to discover that while the life of faith is never perfect, perfect love casts out fear—and Jesus makes all things new.

"This riveting historical reaches into the pages of the New Testament to reimagine the life of Mary Magdalene. … Readers will be spellbound."—Publishers Weekly

Such a good book! I felt I was right there with Jesus in the story—thank you so much!

Like Being With Jesus

A glimpse into a once lost soul that redeemed upon meeting Jesus. A beautiful storyline of what Mary’s life would and could have been.

Beautifully written

Although I did like the story, I didn’t like the way the character of Mary was portrayed. She was not that timid as a matter fact I’ve been visiting Israel Israel. She was the apostle of the apostles many of the apostles came to her for counsel and she understood Jesus more than the rest.

Mary was not timid.

I enjoyed this audible, but it was slow at times, especially in the beginning and middle. I wish the narrator would have written more about the Lord’s passion and post-resurrection and left out some of the slower preceding parts. I love that it was biblically accurate as far as quoting the Bible.

Redemptive story

Narrator tends to be continually dramatic - kimd of wears on me. But the story is very good - thought provoking
