The Practical Art of Letting Go, How to Say No, Stop Overthinking, Master Self-Discipline & Find Your Ikigai : Break Free from Negative Spirals & Develop Self-Compassion by author Hinkelberg is a read that covers practically every aspect with simple and practical advice on letting/saying no... There is a lot of information in this book and that is a reason why it is a (good) long read. I enjoyed Chapters 4, 6, 8 & 9 the best. Chapter 4 dives into establishing realistic goals with a deadline(s). The chapter talks about having a system, personal procrastination, and self-discipline. Time management is an issue with many individuals and Hinkelberg discusses the 'Pomadora' technique and the Eisenhower matrix along with the Japanese IKIGAI approach - 'the reason for being, to live. Chapter 6 explains how to build a positive mindset - very powerful. Chapter 8 Decluttering your mindset - explains the importance of the '2 minute task' (s), 'reflecting writing', the GREAT idea of NO digital interaction and FOMO! Chapter 9 - become a simplistic minimalist and use the 30 day minimalist challenge of "Keep, donate, or discard." Interesting read!

I found listening to this audiobook truly fascinating. We all carry emotion baggage and that baggage can be like a big sack of rocks that stays on us for years. The Art of Letting Go is a brilliantly written and well narrated guide that empowers you to use very specific techniques in order to let go of that emotional weight and declutter your mind. Breaking free from negative thought spirals was very eye-opening for me and I loved the chapter on cultivating a growth mindset. I learnt a lot from Andrew’s book and was impressed with the empathy and wisdom he has.
