An action-packed LitRPG Apocalypse perfect for fans of The Primal Hunter, Road to Mastery, and The Ten Realms.

In a world of countless enemies, Freddy's unique power will help him thrive.

Freddy Stern, a twenty-one-year-old cashier, has lived a plain, albeit harsh life. Having been orphaned—twice—he's spent the last ten years working and staying out of trouble. His only aspiration is to save enough money to become an archhuman.

His dream gets the jump on him when he barely survives a near-death encounter and finds himself in possession of 1% Lifesteal, a bizarre talent with numerous contradictions and just as many uses.

With every dead enemy, he becomes a bit stronger, a little wiser, and a lot more ruthless. And no matter how much damage he takes, he can always put himself back together. Physically, at least.

But on his path to power, after having to look at the rotting guts of archhuman society again and again, can his talent keep his mind and soul as pristine as his body?

Or will that part of him simply remain broken...

Experience the start of this action-packed LitRPG Adventure from Robert Blaise set two hundred years after a reality-altering apocalypse. Featuring a weak-to-strong Brawler MC who never backs down, a unique power system, apocalyptic elements and more!

This was a pretty good book but it was generally too dark for me personally. I know characters must go through challenges to grow, but this had too much torture, slavery, and betrayal for me. it may be a great match for someone else's taste. just not mine. having said that it was well written and well performed!

Too dark for me

This book was freaking fantastic. It starts slow, with the main character being EXTREMELY paranoid and it ends with all the paranoia being COMPLETELY justified. The MC starts out pathetic, weak and cowardly but through non-stop unfortunate events is forced to change for better or worse (I am leaning worse because this level of torture tends to have negative effects on your mind). I don't want to get into specifics but the book ends with one hell of a climax. After everything that the MC went through I just HAVE to know what happens in the next book. The reckoning some characters are in for is going to be satisfying.

This story has no right being this GOOD.

Really good book, definitely different from your classic LIT RPG. If you like an MC who starts from the absolute bottom of the barrel and scrapes by to gain power then this book is for you.

Dark MC

I enjoyed this and recommend it if the blurb appeals to you. this would be five stars if withheld information didn't cause me to frequently not understand what is happening in the scene until much later in the story when necessary exposition is finally given to us. This is a common mistake with newer writers so I'm hoping future novels won't have the same issues.

Worth Reading but needs editing

Really enjoyed this and the pacing for the MC gaining power. Lots of potential here. Can't wait for more.
