As the number one quarterback in college football, my only dream is to make it to pro.

My richer-than-sin parents have a different goal. Their plan is for me to score a trophy wife whose trust fund can hold its own against mine, then join the family empire after graduation. The latter half of that plan means giving up my dream of professional football. The first part means sitting through excruciating dates with girls who already have their wedding vows written.

In an attempt to free myself from one of my perpetual nightmares, I announce that I’m already in a serious, long-term relationship.

Which is a great excuse to get out of a date–if it were true.

To save the lie, I talk the intriguing campus black cat, Briar Hart, into pretending to be my girlfriend. She has a prickly heart, and she’s made it clear that she hates jocks.

But after I offer her something she can’t refuse, we’re suddenly faking our happily-ever-after to everyone.

If I’m not careful, I may start to believe it too.

Overall, I liked this audio a lot. JF is always a favorite and did an amazing job! While Savannah did a good job as well, the breathlessness of her voice bothered me often in this one. It is still worth the listen!

Not my most favorite female narrator

This is the second book I'm the series and it's my favorite so far. I'm such a sucker for fake dating and this one was done just right!!

Loved both the narrators, duet audiobooks just hit differently... I definitely need Rhys book!!

A flame like no others

I read the book and thought it was fantastic, but the audio is just another level of amazing!
The performances were just perfect and gave the story another different dimension.
JF Harding gave soul to Thorne's character, and Savannah personified Briar's doubts so well!
Briar Hart and Cassius Remington Thorne III's story is told in Heart of Thorns, second book in Shadow Valley U series, and I must say, what a story it is, with all the plot and mystery that develops and the fake dating that swiftly transforms into something more, in a smooth and organic way.
Briar, the quintessential black cat, quickly changes into Thorne's kitten.
Believe me, this novel is H.O.T. Thorne is a delicious cinnamon roll, hot and swoon-worthy!

Amazing!
